Oh, my gosh!! Could you imagine an America where there were schools in every State that taught the TRUE history of the First Nation's Peoples, taught their languages, their medicinal practices, their culinary customs and their social constructs? And had seats in the House and Senate? And had the RESPECT from "imported" citizens that they have for themselves?

Effin Disgusting that they tried to wipe out the culture of the real Americans and their language. I hope they put the resources into preserving the ancient American language. I have never learned a foreign language but would be interested in studying the native Americans. Better late than never!
Unfortunately there simply weren't enough natives in numbers to fight off invaders on their land(s). I think about how the ancient tribes in England who f ought off the Roman invasion in the 1st century. The ancient Brits almost won. They almost kept Rome out.
