Today I’m baking up a delicious mile high cherry cream pound cake this cake is truly delicious loaded with maraschino cherries and topped with a delicious icing I hope you all give it a try you will have plenty to share with friends and family ❤️

What you will be needing
18 cup bunt pan
2 cups salted Irish butter room temperature
3 1/4 cups sugar
9 large eggs room temperature
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup whipped cream cheese room temperature
3.4 oz box instant cheesecake pudding
1 cup sour cream room temperature
4 cups cake flour measuring properly spooned into measuring cup then sifted
2 cups maraschino cherries drained and patted dry then cut in half each cherry
Bake at 320F until done 1 1/2 hrs may take longer ovens vary
Icing
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
3 to 4 tablespoons milk
Mix together

I love pound cake I have never had Cherry pound cake. My mama swore it was the mixing of the cake that made it so good she made the best pound cake❤ the one you made looks the same texture. Looks great--love cherries! Going to try this just plant-based as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the estrogen and possible BLV in dairy and choline and lead in eggs. Thanks for sharing

Hi Mrs. Donna that cake looks yummy. What's the difference between kerrygold butter and regular butter? That's a butter I can't afford unfortunately, it's too expensive. I have seen that butter at the store before and many people use kerrygold. There is a Texas brand butter here in Dallas that I sometimes use when baking. Is there another brand of butter you sometimes use when baking? I can't wait to make this cake once I get the right cake pan soon, thanks for sharing.

Any real butter will do I like the kerrygold butter because it’s more healthy knowing it’s a lot of butter in the cake but even a store brand of real butter will work… hope you enjoy ❤️

Mrs. Donna I have a concern I love that you say ovens may vary because the oven I have gets very hot and I can't bake anything over 325 or it will cook to fast and over brown. Well my concern is that the cake pan I have is a 10 inch bundt cake pan and I'm not sure how many cups it holds maybe 10 to 12? I just wanted to know here in your recipe you say to bake the cake at 320, can I lower the temperature to 300 and watch it so it doesn't cook too fast, since my cake pan is darker coated in color or bake the cake at 320 like you say? I read in a a review that any baking pan that is dark coated you want to lower the temperature by 25 degrees but with my oven I may need to lower it below 320 when making pound cakes. What do you think?

Hello KitKat I would not suggest a 10 to 12 cup I would go with 18 cup bunt or tube pan knowing all the eggs and cherries and cream cheese it will over flow you can always poor cups of water into your pan counting to see how many cups your pan holds and I would definitely bake at 300F if your oven bakes hot and if using a dark pan I truly hope this helps❤️
