What an amazing set! I immediately think of the incredibly beautiful nights in the early 90s when we went to the Cherrymoon club. Later to Club X, Illusion, La Rocca, Carat and at the end of the 90's and beginning of the 00"s to the legendary Zillion . Today's youth can only dream of such parties where the atmosphere was almost divine. No mobile phones in your hand all evening just to film the crowd, no..... we were just dancing until you almost dropped. I'm now 50, but songs like The first rebirth, Loops and things, the house of house still give me goosebumps. 14:19 without any doubt THE ultimate classic house track and the best intro ever made.

This is why Tomorrowland is in Belgium, because of this legendary music from a special period. In those days many Europeans came to party here because of this special sound. So many famous clubs and afterclubs with virtually no closing hour, so in a way every weekend was Tomorrowland back then ;)

The positivity of these guys is great and all the classics make for an awesome atmosphere in the crowd. Putting these guys on the mainstage was definitely a successful experiment by Tomorrowland. Truly one of the most entertaining sets on the mainstage and the festival as a whole!

This is electronic MUSIC! Retroclassic techno trance at its finest!!! 90's rave parties and the energy, the rhythm, the melodies, the beat, the bass, all this insane amount of feelings this genre transmits is beyond reality! this should be played in prime time so those millenials learn when and how it all started. When dj meant the guy who spins the vinyl to play music and not throwing cakes or doing like joker. When people where dancing to the music and not holding phones like zombies and posting selfies ALL THE FACKING TIME!! THIS WAS RAVE!!!
That's true, I'm usually annoyed by the forest of cellphones that can be seen at every festival but we can admit that on this video we don't see that many cellphones or selfies being taken. Maybe the music is too good compared with the prime time hours 😉 Oh... I'm feeling old saying that (not even 40 yet).

One of the best sets in Tomorrowlnad 2018! Probably the best one in involving the crowd: people really felt the music, enjoying it and dancing, not just jumping like in all the EDM sets..which are more or less always the same!
I'm not a massive fan of MC's talking over the top of tracks but this guy seems to be very respectful to the music and why can't people just leave positive feedback or comments people always feel the need to put someone down. Epic set brings back so many awesome memories 🍒 🌙🤸🤸🤸
the thing is, in the old days these DJ's didn't need an mc to get the party starting. The Good Old DJs from Belgium had it all covered. In those days people would have walked to him and ask him to be quiet. Sorry, we are old school, we want to listen to the DJ, not the MC.
This is probably the first and only answer i'll be giving to a comment cause I've tried to steer away from this as much as possible. I'm the actual guy on the mic there. First off, thanks for trying to be positive and choosing your words kindly. As you can probably tell, I'm not part of the generation that had this in clubs and thus I never experienced those days. When you're on a mainstage of this festival, it's different of course, you have to hype because that's what a mainstage is, you have to bring that energy. I've always tried keeping a balance between the sound, the history and respecting the legacy, giving what the DJ's want and what the crowd wants. I know this is very difficult and hardly possible on this legendary sound. It was a blast and a PURE enjoyment being there. But from the bottom of my heart, thank you for seeing between the lines and being respectful.

Next year, the should put them at prime time with most young people not knowing who they are and see the mass explode for real. These guys deserve it, because they're part of the reason that Tomorrowland got as big as it is, not because of their DJ sets, but because they co-created and pushed the Belgian house culture, which makes Belgium the best host for this festival.

Yves Deruyter is definitely the best DJ ever ! Reminds me my 20's, going out every week-end and spending the night partying in the best nightclubs in Belgium. Cherry Moon, Extreme, Illusion, La Rocca, Zillion, Montini and so much more... It was a good time...
