In Oregon, we have a few varieties of cherries. The majority are called Bing, Chelan, Rainier, Benton and Sweetheart Cherries. These range from an almost black, red, bright red, and yellow color varieties. In Eastern Oregon, the majority we have are the black and the red varieties.

We had 5 Queen Anne cherry trees in our yard growing up in BC. The trees were old so Daddy did not let us kids climb them as the branches were brittle. But Daddy modified a ladder for us kids to get safely to the fruit way up high,

All their natural remedies seem to be doing more harm than good. It's all about making money for them now, less about homesteading. Rebecca spends money like it's going out of fashion. I feel sorry for the kids, they do most of the farm work, aren't getting a proper education and rarely spend time with other kids

@queenbee3647
@queenbee3647 4 месяца назад
The main point behind the mobile fences is to move your animals where they are needed. You care for the animal while it maintains your pasture. Permanent fencing would shut that idea right down. I heard Justin say once the mobile vs permanent fencing is why theres homesteaders and why theres farmers. Its not exactly the same.
@Scipiogirl
@Scipiogirl 4 месяца назад
Because that costs tens of thousands of dollars and with so many trees, constant repairs. The movable fences are actually less expensive over wire and post fences.
@anjaschubert4086
@anjaschubert4086 4 месяца назад

I'm not understanding the purpose of an orchard in a grazing pasture?.. YOU'll constantly have to work and as you know farming you need to create less work..EVEN after the trees if they survive are established the livestock will eat the bark killing the trees. Orchards are not for pasture... Those electric fences you use . create a LOT of work changing it up constantly..We have some and I can say they are a great way for a instant fix r not a permanent pasture. just a temporary fix.. Why not permanent fencing with cross fencing?? You seem to be able to do that instead of working your kids to death moving that electric fence constantly.. You constantly have animals out because of them. I love your videos don't get me wrong just not understanding why you would create more work than necessary.. pie cherries ;)

Hey Justin, First love Your Channel, so glad that You didn't leave U-Tube. Love Your Family farm, and all the Great Homesteading information. Now I also love Reptiles, so I watch a lot of Reptile Channels as well. New England Reptile has made a Vlog about UVB heating bulbs. Which are so important for keeping Reptiles. They are saying that in early August the United States might ban or stop manufacturing these bulbs because they use a lot of energy and produce a lot of heat. Now I know that a lot of Homesteaders need those bulbs to keep their baby chickens and turkeys alive. Please make sure this information is accurate, then get the word out. This will effect a lot of individuals.

Hmmmm, "We eat what we grow, and we grow what we eat" Anybody can see it? it is the cycle of life, all we need is the seed, we grown the seed with Manure that we produce, and then we eat what the seed and the manure produced, and the cycle starts again. So in theory all we need is ourselves, a seed and water. Voila, I am a genius! LOL!

It amazes me that a human would actually waste their limited God given time and write nasty, negative comments that is actually a mar on themselves instead of just not viewing the channel and finding one that brings them happiness..if that is possible. I will not read any more comments posted on this channel because it steals the joy of watching it for me.
