I need to say again that I remain impressed with Josiah's quiet and often understated contribution to the farm. Hey Josiah! I'm very pleased that the strength you manifested while Jonah was injured is still alive and well. I just wanted you to know your contribution over time is valued AND looked forward to.
Everytime I see piglets being moved I recall the day Jason from Sow the Lands pigs got out and run amuck…he wisely said then “I don’t trust NO pig” lol..can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings lol..enjoyed todays vlog! Blessings❤
I wouldn’t want the pigs so close to your garden food because of the poop that could contaminate your onions/garlic. Thank you Rebecca for sharing how to cook Collard greens.
It's fantastic how far the farm and channel has come for you to employ people, paying it forward in your own community! Cheers to y'all especially all the "farmilies" working hard in the hotter weather.
Justin your videos are always entertaining for me. I grew up on a 280 farm in MO with cows, pigs, and chickens for meat and eggs and I love remembering the trials.
Mom will be so sad if piglets distroy her garden. My Dad was at work & our pig was inside its hut & it got really hot. Dad told us NOT to spray the pig directly because it could cause it to have a stroke. He said spray the hut down so it's surrounded by a cooler space & it would be more gradual of a change. Then we filled its wallow with water so when it felt like moving around it got into the wallow on its own, It worked. Can your piglets have a small wallow inside the fence so they will want to stay in that area?
Hi..... Justin Rhodes and Rebecca and nice to see you all love watching your video homestead beautiful great good job Chicken 🐓 duck 🦆 goose garden BYE 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Fun video. Liked the transport model. We put a Berkshire and a Berkshire Cross in the woods! They are living their Best Life. Appreciate the content as I have been able to apply a lot of what you have been doing...all the way back to Permaculture Chickens! Thank you.
I would have done those veggies different, build them with broth, and once done keep the liquid to add nuddles or whatever next day. And once veggies are done and strained then I would have add the bacon and onion done in a big pan. That would give the veggies so much taste and you will have the perfect broth (meat and veggies broth) to make whatever you want next day, pasta or even meat.
For the pigs, try using the black metal pen you used for your sheep. You will have to move it more often. You may need to string a single wire on the bottom edge. Hopefully will require less string trimming. Only down side would be it is not an option available for most people in terms of the video.
Who would have guessed there would be such a dramatic cliff hanger regarding pigs ! Will they or won’t they stay in ? Stay tuned, same Bat Time, same Bat Channel ! POW ❕ BIFF ❕ SPLAT ❕
Nina Booker---You made the important point---Justin Rhodes's RU-vid channel is no longer a homesteading program, but rather a reality stream. Sad, and stupid, if you ask me... I suppose RU-vid revenue drives his individual compass.
I’m here to enjoy this wonderful family sharing their adventures in a life of homesteading trials and errors. They are sustainably farming their legacy property, building a better, healthier life for them and others, providing interesting content, funding their way of live and passing on a legacy. It is 100% your choice to partake or not, no one is taking anything from you. Don’t watch if it doesn’t suit your taste. Your negativity is not necessary, please keep it to yourself. TY.
Errors on RU-vid…It’s all about clicks, views, comments… If it annoys us, we comment, even though no one is reading them. I used to think so much on this farm/show was failure, but he’s actually probably a RU-vid genius (or Austin is!) 😂
Justin... Would it work any better to use 2 fences? To put a second fence about 1 foot out from the first? Or as close as possible without them touching each other. I don't know.... Just thinking out loud here.😊
I’m confused. Didn’t you just teach people how to train pigs to the electric netting while in the stall before using the electric netting as their fencing??
He let every piglet get zapped once and swore they were trained before selling them on. Those piglets are hopefully not out looking for their mama somewhere…
The vcs is a life time investment just like all that expensive stuff in your new home if you ask me it’s better than getting all those WANTS in your new home
If you buy a half decent exterior camera most now have the ability to create a geofence as an exclusion or inclusion zone around the pen if they get out it can notify you on your smart phone you have some tech savvy millennials doing editing I'm sure you can get this setup quite easily, oh and not saying your not tech savvy by any means 😇
You have to put water in the pot or they burn. Also, you want pot likker (yes that's the spelling) to keep the greens from drying out once they're done. The likker is also delicious to sop up.
@@SuziesCornerInLoveusually if there bitter is cause there to big. The younger small leafs are the best. And bacon grease on them makes em gooder . Much love
