It isn’t Team USA it’s Team Reeve’s Ego. Reeve’s ego wanted to stop Clark more than she wanted to win. Reeve is an embarrassment to the United States, the WNBA, and a embarrassment to herself.
The talk should really be about Ogunbowale. She was the MVP for the second time against Olympic teams, and she was snubbed once again. She's the one with a REAL complaint about not being on the Olympic team.
CC was the most heavily guarded player on the court which Reeves made sure of and CC still killed it by controlling the tempo with her amazing ball handling skills while setting up some of the best assists yet with her precise passing ability. Talk about being a complete player. CC is unstoppable!
It seems like Coach Reeve focused more on stopping Caitlin Clark from scoring than winning the game for team USA. There were times that CC22 shaking her head and smiling while being hounded 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cheryl Reeves is just a Karen that thinks she’s entitled and whatever decision she makes is the only right one. She’s angry and vindictive, definitely does not have a good coaching attitude.
Hopefully, this is the last Olympic game she coaches. This coach will always have something against CC. CC has made her look bad. The American team looks terrible 😅

This just shows how much C.C. respects even those who have bullied her, during the game. She sees them not as enemies, but as players of the sport. C.C.’s worked hard to get to where she’s at now, as everyone can see.

I’m age 81.5, ‘ never ‘ watched a full BB game in my life until this one. It was great. Can some one tell me what a double double is and how a player gets it. I’m lost. What an insult for the Olympic team and more so for the “stupid” coach.
A double-double is when a player gets at least 10 points in at least 2 of 5 major statistics, usually points plus rebounds or assists or steals or blocks. So 'double digits' in 'double' categories. A triple-double would be getting 'double digits' in three of those categories. So Angel Reese got a double-double in this game by having at least 10 points and at least 10 rebounds. Its not a statistic thats really measured in the mens NBA as it happens pretty regularly. In the WNBA its a pretty big deal. For comparison, Angel Reese set a WNBA record this season with 14 or 15 consecutive games with a double-double. By comparison, in the NBA Wilt Chamberlain had 227 consecutive games with a double-double, as well as streaks of 220 and 113, and a career double-double record of over 900.
Immediately FIRE Reeve, she put her priority on over-guarding CC and lost the game because of it. What an embarrassment to USA. Get rid of Reeve before she extends the embarrassment any further. A total joke to be in charge of our national team at the olympics.
Reeves clamping down CC backfired she recorded 10 assists on limited playing time helping the WNBA all stars victory over the olympic team it was a slap on Reeves face and Caitlin’s revenge for hating her to no end.
To be that skilled individually, and still be a selfless teammate is pure class. Reese stepped up, too. It's the team, not the player. Very cool to see!
@@dlpsr8990ever watched basketball before? A real playmaker finds a way to be productive and cc did. She was blanketed and had trouble scoring. Everyone has bad shooting nights but she distributed the ball to those who weren’t blanketed. Smart players know when one player gets too much attention, someone else isn’t getting enough. Cc understood that and scored her points through assists.
Caitlin Clark can be a good add to Team USA for the olympics for her good command to feed her team-mates. A rare quality of a long-range sharpshooter like Clark. A real playmaker with a class of her own. A "must be" shared to the world in the olympics❤.
CC went from a full college season with a deep march madness run to the WNBA with virtually no off time. I doubt she is going to work on her game during the break. She is going to take some much needed rest time.
Yeah, he pointed that out how Reeves plan backfired from all the tight defense. She was having them play on Clark. That Arike, was able to take advantage of that because Reeves was so blinded..
But Arike is a great player! As a huge fan of CC And sharing the same hometown, I really enjoyed seeing someone else come to the forefront in this game. I am sure that CC felt the same way -look at that big grin on her face! She is gracious in any given situation. Her post game interview says it all.
Arike is awesome in and out of the court and won 2 all stars games back to back. But she was called up for the USA team and she declined it saying team USA is more politics over talent and she doesn't wanna be part of it. CC, Arike and Angel were all good. CC and Arike also has an unwavering class to not to bow down in front of unfairness.
I might watch a little and honestly happy Caitlin wasn't picked for the team. The kid is tired and has played more BB than most in the league this year. I'm sure she needs rest for her body and mind. The second half will be something to watch.
It seems clear enough the Olympic squad was assembled not because it was the best overall team but, to please those who made the selections. The ones in charge of selecting the players should be replaced 🤷♂️
No matter how shit her reasoning is, even if she was selected by the committee that includes Reeves, if Reeves doesn’t want her on her team she will control exactly how minutes Clark would be on the court. With her arrogance towards Clark it would probably be next to nothing or in garbage time, when she could claim anything positive Clark did was in garbage time.
Why aren't Ogunbowale and Reese on the team? They were outstanding. I wonder what the play of Reese, Ogunbowale and Clark would look like after playing together for while? They were more fun to watch.

Coach Cheryl Reeve reminds me of Coach Bill Belichick, where he didn't accomplish anything before or after Tom Brady, she didn't accomplish anything before or after Maya Moore. They were both made famous from the abilities of a generational talent, probably just like Coach Sides will get if she is lucky to sticks around Caitlin Clark.

Even the Olympic team (THE OLYMPIC TEAM) kept her little rookie self defended the hardest because they knew that if she got hot, it was going to be a double digit to zero run for at least 5 minutes! LOL BUT, in her drawing their best defenders, that left Arike open to drop buckets on them and that's the Caitlin Clark problem for anyone on the other side of the court... ...if you don't double or triple guard her, she'll score on you and ramp her team up, but if you do double or triple team her to contain her, that leaves the rest of her squad free to put in work. Either way, Caitlin Clark is a problem if you're playing against her!
She also broke a record for most 3's in a game and the most assist in a game with 19! She is averaging 67 percent of her team's total points with points and assist. That's never been done before in history by anyone in the wnba. So she's not a ball hog! What's crazy is she's doing these great things with the worst team in the WNBA. All attention is on her for the opposing defense, and she is averaging 67 percent of the total offense, lol that is historic! So yeah, a lot of people hating! Cry cry cry 😭😭😭😭 facts hurt! CC did her job well as a point guard and provided a lot of assists and her passes were all beautiful and on point, Arike's scoring spree even started with CC's assist (AR was benched at that time though). CC's pass to AR was one of the best in that whole game too and their celebration was something cheerful given that they were rivals in the league. For an MVP status, I would've picked Arike over anyone that day. Also, Arike was the only player there who actually was invited to play for the Olympics team, but she declined saying Team USA is more about politics and not about talent and she doesn't want to be a part of it.
You meant Reese right? They were considered to be rivals but there are many differences. Angel Reese is a forward player whereas CC is a point guard, AR's job is to score and CC's job is to defend and provide assists, but still she showed an incredible amount of talent in her career compared to AR and dominates in almost every category compared to AR including points scored and average points per match, which is the job of forwards usually.
Would be NICE, if all the film was from tie All Star came, and not from many different games, that have nothing to do with the All Star - Olympic Team match up

Yeah she didn’t pick Carlin because she knew it would upset the other wnba players. She was trying to make the best decision to advance her coaching career. She didn’t want to be unpopular with other coaches and players. She should of done what’s best for the league and its attendance. It will end up costing her in the end. She has lost a lot of credibility.

Arike Ogunbowale is an American born in Milwaukee, and most of her shots she made were ridiculously difficult. The rookies did great, but this video lacks serious props to the vets.
Uh.. read the video title. Its clear that this video was specifically about Cheryl Reeve and Clark. Arike Ogunbowale has been featured in a TON of videos about the game, and her talents (as she should be).... but not every video has to be about her.
The USA team should be disqualified if the they try to play Griner. He is a man that just got his girlfriend pregnant and calling himself papa. It is against Olympic rules. The USA team just lost to the all stars anyway. Send them, they did much better and don’t have a dude on their team.

Don’t give me that crap that there are a ton of videos of Arike Ogunbowale when everyone knew the story was going to be CC if the WNBA All-Stars would win. I love watching Arike Ogunbowale, NOW...because CC got me here. ....A lot of 'baby out with bathwater syndrome', going on. But, as it settles; EVERY one is beneficially gaining for the best of reasons.
What "should" happen is so obvious that it makes me believe the problem is not just a bad coach but bad leadership at the very top of the league. Satisfying the fans is job #1! The leadership of this league is not getting it done.
