Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel construction project 2 years behind schedule 

756 million? Holy smokes..how many crossing will it take to pay for this one...who comes up this and says ....okay, sounds good to me?

I would have figured they would have constructed the new tunnel the same way they did the original. build new islands off to the side in line with the new bridges and prefab the tunnel sections, float them in and sink them in place. the islands would be away from the original tunnels so no chance of damaging them.

We will have this and much much more in the last with the HRBT Construction

When are they going to realize there are 2 tunnels and this will actually do nothing at all until a second tunnel is made?

Tunnel finishes construction or demolished by hurricane, which comes first?
