It's a beautiful trail that follows the Potomac River. I highly recommend riding it. There is a lot to see especially if you're into history and nature.

Hi Thomas. I usually see you riding the Withlacoochee State trail in Inverness FLA (I Have a small vacation house on the trail). I grew up in the DC area (Langley, Great Falls) and I rode the C and O canal trail in 1974 from Harpers Ferry to DC. The trail was much less developed at the time. I always enjoy your videos. Greetings from our winter home in Newport RI, Alex Hazera.

I ride in Florida in the winter months and elsewhere when the rest of the country warms up. C&O is such a beautiful trail that I keep going back there. In the back of the days it wasn't developed much and some people miss that trail but either way it's a beautiful trail to ride. Thank you for watching my videos, much appreciated 😊

C&O is a great hiking/biking trail. There's so much history and the free hiker/biker campsite every 5-6 miles, highly recommend

There's a crossover to C&O before that tunnel on WMRailTrail. Puts u at mp 114.5...then 2 miles past the towpath entrance of the Ft Frederick.

Beautiful trail! Are you with a friend, or did you meet him on the trail? We want to visit Harper's ferry. It looks amazing! Nice, you saw some deer! Thanks for the tour! ❤

Yes you're right, I remember now it's a Sycamore tree. I had a Sycamore tree in my backyard at my previous place and sometimes they grow huge. Thanks

It looks like there is a lot of shade on the trail. Did you stop at any of the C&O canal Visitor Centers? We are planning to get off and explore Antietam National Battlefield and Harpers Ferry on our way.

I didn't stop at the Visitors Centers if there were any. Harpers Ferry is a unique town you're gonna to love it. The C&O trail is like a green tunnel, lots of greenery. You can bike it or hike it. Free hiker/biker campsites are every 5-6 miles.

hi, I've been watching you for a while recently. I live in Florida. What size tires were the two of you riding with? I have a brother who runs the 28m, and I wonder if it's too narrow for those types of trails. I think he could change to a wider tire though.
@FollowThomas
@FollowThomas 3 месяца назад
I ride 35mm tires, it's a sweet spot between roads and gravel. It works best for me the type of riding I do. Troy mentioned that he's riding also 35mm tires I guess it works for him too but we just happened to ride this trail together so I don't know what type of tires he usually rides. I think 28mm might be too narrow for some dirt trails.

You bought a better camera👍.

I use two GoPro cameras. One is mounted on my handlebar for forward riding clips and the other one is handheld for vlogging. My videos are a combination of them. At this time I used a windshield for better sound quality. 👍
