Me and T finally took the long drive down to Dorset to fish the mighty chesil it would either make our dreams or break them have a look how we got on #chesil #beachfishing #abbotsbury #seafishinguk
Lol, straight up video. No bullsh1t, same as that mate. Fu**s me up walking on that shingle! Still broken dreams there for me at the moment! I fish a bit more Westerly than Chesil and it's been pretty crap recently. Squid will be in soon, add that with some rougher weather and it should liven up 👍
Hello Rhys was at Brighton on Wednesday had a walk along the east arm of marina couldn’t believe how many anglers on there. But the thing that got me was there were people taking under sized fish one in particular had a very small bass in his bucket I told him that it should be returned he just shrugged his shoulders didn’t return it further along the fluff chuckers were just leaving mackerel flapping about on the ground. This is just what the antis love to see wanted to report them but could not find the ranger to tell him but he was nowhere to be seen. Not being a kill joy but just think anglers should be educated in sizes before fishing. Sorry about the rant. Lee Ps keep the videos coming mate I always enjoy them 👍👍👍👍👍
@@FishHunterUK I don't entirely agree. I'd rather eat what I catch than have to buy fish, knowing trawled or netted fish have also produced a huge by-catch, with innumerable undersized and over-quota fish being thrown back into the sea already dead. I don't generally keep undersized fish, but I can't see the point in having angling size limits when so much damage is and will be done by the commercial men. Give me one small bass to the rod and I will save how many? from the nets.
Micheal I see exactly what you mean and although I agree with that the size limits for me have to stay in place as you may only take the odd dead undersized fish home but others will take the piss and take everything and no it still won't be anywhere near the boats but we all have to do our bit if that makes sense
We used to run up and down Chisel Beach in the army, it was pretty tiring, up the beach, down the beach, over the beach, around the beach, we were fitter than butchers dogs. Bastards made up carry full kit too, that used to get us puffing a bit.
Cracking video Rhys never goes according to plan myself and my mate did the journey back in March week before lockdown 61/2 drive from Hull East Yorkshire but like you had a blast for the first time on the big beach also looking forward to part 2
Fish at chesil fairly regularly, done eypes, burton bradstock (hive beach) cogden, west Bexington and abbotsburry so far, fish at burton bradstock the most (mainly long weekend's Friday evening till Sunday afternoon)we make a big shelter to stay in,had some good session's and loads of blanks, its worth the hour and a bit drive from north Somerset to have a bit of banter with mates .
Use to fish chesil when I lived in Bristol. Moved to Newquay 19 years ago. Newquay is great but I do miss Dorset and chesil. Great video again and respect to all your efforts, I'm sure you will get your chesil cod soon.
Did chesil last year, went to ferrybridge, the steep banks of shingle nearly killed me,was blowing out my arse after 5mins, amazing place, stunning scenery, top vid mate, look forward to part 2, 'inabit'
Great vid once again mate , great views too , T's lovely little catch was cool , looking forward to part 2 , my mates doing a 4 dayer at chesil next week ,again , bit of a boot for the day from Rainham kent and i cant get time off be lucky
Sorted Fair play rhys jest got home from fishing (blanked) and your video pops up on my iPad so hope 2 watch u catch something in a bit. Hope ur clutch gets u back home.
I fished chesil beach, same spot Dragons teeth, but the walk killed me,i set up and cast a bait, just sitting there couldnt remember if id locked the car.FFS had to walk all the way back to check and yeah it was locked! I guess the 4lb Bass made up for it.
Many anglers can't handle the walk to the Dragons teeth and besides you made it hard going by walking on top of the shingle. There is a goat track that makes for easy walking. At the Dragons teeth about 80yds out, there is a wreck (Feature) that holds the fish. I have had up to 6 different species from there. Never fish in the day, just wasting your time and money mate. If you want a decent Cod, tie a size 1 on to a 6/0 then tip the small hook with worm. The Pout will lock on as live bait then wait for the Cod. Works every time down there. Don't go for all these fancy rigs tackle firms throw out. The only things those companies hook is the angler. Tight lines.
get in the wrack weed if the waters clear too catch cod! never been chesil but if like the gourlock there will be shelfs or gravel bars you could target ) gl
Afternoon mate just subscribe to your channel enjoying the content 👍 I'm from the medway towns my self .gave up fishing about 5yrs ago,but watching the Channel makes me want to start again! Might have a little session at Allhallows just to get things started again 🤔....
If you walk along the bottom of the bank . (Avoiding the human shit piles) stick the to shingle close to the fleet it’s self and it’s hard ground most of the way to the teeth 👍👍👍👍also walk further than that past the teeth. Pays to keep walking.
If your slightly over weight dont come if your over 30 don't come if ya can't walk 100yrds don't come best fucking review of chesil ever you've made me bust mush 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I will keep watching and liking mate' even if you don't catch any fish! I learnt a good few tips ! When i finally take up sea fishing! ! By the way have you ever tried double red maggot on the hook!! Keep up the good work mate! Thanks mark
Must have missed you mate we arrived there Sunday at 3 p.m. after fishing berryhead Brixham sat morning, Then we went on to beesands beach and fished through the night, best bass spot I've ever been To.
We joined the million other people fishing off ferry bridge on sat, took a good 45min walk to get a spot! Caught a couple of smoothhound later on but nothing in daylight. Gotta get a decent shelter, do you recommend one?
