Chesil really wasn't the plan or even on the cards this weekend....
My plan was Southbourne Beach or even possibly Hordle Cliffs..
Friday evening came round I kept checking the weather and to be fair all week was calm not really great conditions you just know your going to have clear water reports had been sketchy at best.....
The weather was due to change Saturday evening/night I thought I need deepish water to stand any chance of catching anything....so I checked forecast for chesil and thought sod it....its got to be done...
The drive down from Southampton before midday was cold and crisp by 1.30pm I was in the carpark no wind and bright sunshine once again not good condition
I didn't want to hike any distance up and to the right was good enough me....
Clear and still conditions greeted me
But at least I had deep water in front of me
No bites for the first 3 casts then panic sets in lol
But that soon goes as dusk fell it was absolutely manic fishing bites galore ratchets screaming
And the wind getting up from the south
I packed up just after 9pm the bigaloo almost going up the steep shingle bank thank god I was sat under it or it would of ended up in the car park 🤣🤣🤣
And what a Pout monster size 1LB 15OZ
Superb Pout was very happy with that
10 Pout
4 Strap Eels
Roll on the next outing.....
