I'm convinced that the fall in fish stocks over the years means there's less boats now, so the fish are slowly recovering their numbers. Absolutely smashed it dude!
There might be fewer boats but there are now massive factory ships with super sophisticated equipment plundering the seas which devastate vast areas because of their enormous capacity. With an ever increasing world population and a number of countries paying little to no regard toward International concerns on quotas, the future looks bleak for fish stocks.
You have no idea what you are talking about,80% of Britain's fish has been given to Europe again, lots of industrial trawlers. The British fleet (what's left of it ) is mostly under 10 metre boats . so if there's no fish blame the slimeball traitor politicians!!!
Absolutely no chance... It's the year class. We've had years like this before. Ye used to have years in the middle where you'd catch 6lb+ cod only but those days are long gone.

Your words of warning are well founded .I was there on a sunny flat calm day and someones Labrador was swimming but was having a real problem trying to get out the water it struggled to get up the steep bank it's owner was starting to panic but luckily it summend the strength and got up the bank and stood there shivering and looked absolutely knackered.Dont risk it guys ! Well I'm glad you are happy to catch these small codling , I follow you on your channel ,but I reflect back in my days of fishing all along the south coast ,but we caught cod that size where you put your elbows on your hips or hold them higher and the tails of the cod would touch the pebbles on the beach ,4 decades of the French trawlers have designated our fish stock
All good stuff. Try this : when you get some blacks left over wrap them in cling film (in a roll) leave them 4 days in the fridge. Then freeze them. I've caught stacks of fish on 4 day smelly blacks sometimes frozen for YEARS. They will be soft when de-frosted but you will always have good bait. What have you got to lose? Good luck mate!

Nice to of met u up there mate. Great vid we turnt up when u all arrived and left at the same time. We Obviously wrong end but had four. Joined the back of the que lol. 40 min walk far right. Hahaha. I got off the mark with the codling so that’s the main thing and all 3 of us caught target species. Biggest 3.1lb smallest 2.0lb. So all good there. Keep them vidz coming. Ina bit 😂

In the days of Chesil cod fishing there was no u tube. It is nice however to see codling appearing in these numbers but the ten to twenty pounders of Chesil past are now a distant memory. I remember some 25 plus years ago on Chesil an angler told me he had a codling and it turned out to be 13lb. That just shows what was expected of Chesil back then.
It's interesting with those sea lice, my friend had a 3 lb bass down penarth last month and there was a huge sea lice attached and the damage it was causing as it was eating through the fishes flesh was crazy.
Congratulations what a trip 👏 hopefully the weather stays rubbish so the boats can't get out there and clean them all up .. bet you all went to bed with a smile on your face like the joker 😃
Hi what were the wind conditions like on that day? I can see by your video it’s not very good. I’m looking for a break in weather to go down for 5 day in our touring caravan. Was hoping to go Sunday this weekend but not looking good for the rest of the week.
Fish hunter, how do you get your weather reports from beachs, do you have locals with eyes on? West Bay at the other end of the chesil has a live webcam showing the state of the wind and sea :)
Sorry you didn't like my bait comments a while back, but think you proved me right. Bucket yellows and wraps of blks how many did you catch? . In a brilliant yr class of fish ?To say ur mate Joe ? was on features" it's much of a muchness down there and he did well . Think guys comments re trawling , lack of, carries some weight. The fish coughing up yellow ??? Think you'll find it was a sm Coalfish .
What channels are those then ???? They smashed it the only RU-vid channel I’ve seen hit this many codling in a video,if I’m wrong tell what channel has beaten this and I will watch
