Chess is a language. If you are not good by age 10, its getting a bit late already. Just like learning Greek or Japanese. If you start these as an adult, it is exponentially more difficult, and unlikely that you will ever be native-speaker fluent.

Lasker couldnt know because he didnt know the vibrations. Bobby was first to see them and maybe only one but Magnus tried to copy. No good to study the game without study the vibrations.
