@@startupeco2257 Half true. Alireza down in time first, but he's much more comfortable with it since he know he's better and can play faster in tight time control. Gukesh is just stupid, he was better for a fare share of the game and slipped up. Alireza played careless but Gukesh slipped up as well. Alireza didn't wake up, he literally shouldnt be there and this will probably be the last game he wins in the candidates

@@WhoTookQuwhu The seniors he played in France to qualify are frequent members of closed grandmaster norm tournaments in Eastern Europe, where they are obviously paid off to lose games, which is something Nepomniachtchi and other grandmasters called out for years. I am rated 2200 FIDE unlike you and even I could buy myself a grandmaster title for 20.000 bucks very easily as I live in Slovenia. Magnus was privately coaching Praggnanandhaa and Gukesh in Norway. He stated multiple times that while Alireza is the most talented of his generation, he certainly doesn't have a comparable work ethic like Keymer, Abdusattorov, Gukesh, and so on. Alireza is literally a fashion designer and retired chess prodigy, however more importantly, an insecure brat who doesn't want to miss out on anything even though he puts in no effort. Remember the last Candidates? Alireza was behaving like a child, played 100 bullet games at midnight, and lost the next few games in the event. Remember the 2019 Blitz WCC in which Alireza accused Magnus of cursing him in Norwegian, causing him to lose the game even though he threw several pieces of the board, then filing a complaint that looked like a toddler wrote it about a very well-known tournament rule? I do, I met Alireza in Madrid, and unlike literally any other Candidate, he never spoke even one coherent sentence to a fan or spectator. Hikaru, deserving his spot in 2022 like four times more than Alireza, took two photos with me and didn't mind talking for a few minutes. I don't think Wesley So would be such a disappointment as Alireza is at the Candidates now.

What I hadn't realized until now, perhaps because classical chess without a 30 second increment is relatively rare, is that FIDE rule 8.4 says that if players have less than 5 minutes left without 30+ second incremenet they no longer need to record moves. This seems to bring into question why players record moves at all: I thought the point was to be able to determine when there's a 3-time repetition, or the 50 move rule should be invoked. Clearly the bonus time is awarded based on the clock, not the score sheets.
@dalfifran7572
@dalfifran7572 Месяц назад
Yea... I think this is outdated rules from era where electronics and computer are unreliable. Nowadays with cameras all over and automatic board which can record movement, i think this rule is unnecessary anymore.
@fos1451

The moves recorded online already, I think it’s just for formality if we’re talking about these big events. For usual small events recording the moves is still probably a good idea to do for dispute and bring home for training. Tbh, it does make me feel cooler to having to record the moves in tournaments, felt like I’m a pro even though I still from time to time makes notation mistakes
