That boy had a lot of attitudes coming into the game because he saw the other kid win, so he was a bit hurt at the end there, but I'm glad Alex gave him the "Ah ha!" thing anyway. 🤣🤣

I assume it's the reward if you beat a highly ranked player, and that Alexandra's bounty has dropped because she's been losing (to an eight year old).

Sometimes it's a thing when you have "celebrities" at a mostly-for-fun tournament to offer a "bounty". That means if you beat them in a round you get a reward, regardless of how you do in the tournament overall. As for the tissue joke I think it would have played better if he'd just said "Five dollars for Alexandra". But I think the implication was that she lost last game (hence the kid holding $50) so he needs his Kleenex to wipe her number off the board. That's my best guess given the likelihood of the joke.

I love how Andrea Botez gives as good as she gets, and can take a joke. Although they are competitive Chess players, the Botez sisters have done alot to popularise the game for everyday youngsters 🙌👏
