0:13 2000 rating at 7 years old? Thats insane! That’s arguably even more impressive than being a Grandmaster at 12.

Ya it makes it boring. Also what you think about showing engine eval during chess broadcasts?
@hartesgeld
@hartesgeld Месяц назад
@@GMIgorSmirnov I am not sure about that one. I can find arguments for both sides. In Blitz matches it may help the audience to follow the match better in classical ones I would not be sad if there was no evaluation at all (during the game - i much love to see one after the match)
@davidpreston7212
@davidpreston7212 Месяц назад
@@GMIgorSmirnov Definitely no for me. It spoils the suspense, and when there is commentary it spoils that too. I also think the eval itself is misleading as it tells you the eval between two 3500+ players where time constraints are essentially irrelevant, rather than two humans who have clocks that matter.

I really enjoy your videos and always learn some useful techniques from them. Thank you. I'm also trying to make some chess videos. I think it helps me practice my English and review the chess knowledge I've learned. I hope to become a GM someday. I often play bullet chess on Chesscom, and my chesscom rating is now over 2400. From a 12-year-old chess girl in China.❤😊

Guessing u mean Ng6, it's followed by the simple Qf6, with a double attack on the white knight and queen. Don't make moves only because they look cool.

I dont understand. If Carlsen had played Bxc6 instead of Be8, Nxc6 and Qe8 would have followed. Wouldn't this be enough to win?
@Kesy_lazy
@Kesy_lazy Месяц назад
Well, maybe technically yes, but u should consider the position as well, not the material only. By doing what he did he keeps the bishop pair that will give him the opportunity to take the pawn. Probably u still a 1500 that understand basics and tactics but doesnt get really positional stuff. Calculate in ur head and check which position u prefer

@derektoyne2729 Месяц назад
Hello Igor you always keep telling us "to take is a mistake" but never tell us when to take . It would be good to do a video on when to take because I've noticed in my own games that sometimes my captures are good while other times I lose.
@cameronmiller6240
@cameronmiller6240 Месяц назад
He has covered this a few times. It’s about piece activity really. The point is to be sceptical of even material trades (a knight for a knight, a bishop for a bishop) when those trades help your opponents activate their pieces. Occasionally you should also avoid capturing mere pawns if that helps your opponent activate their pieces.
@chessnoob4461
@chessnoob4461 Месяц назад
@@cameronmiller6240 The answer is to either take only when you get a real advantage by doing so, or your capture is forced. For example, it is good to white to capture after 1.e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd 4.Qxd4 Nc6 5.Bb5 Bd7 By playing 6. Bxc6. This is called exchange with consequent disembarressment as taught by Nimzowitz. So in essence it is not only poor chess to capture without any advantage but also all exchanges are bad unless it proves to be good in precise calculation.
@Xplora213
@Xplora213 Месяц назад
It’s extremely hard to reject accepting a piece; you learn really fast that you can’t ignore easy takes but you have to see the potential flaws in such moves several moves in advance, as all his opening trap videos explain. This is a really good game to see Magnus declining takes and his opponent forcing takes to create a chance.
