What everyone fails to get when they make mention of his addiction to heroin is what the drug is actually doing for him... Everyone is different, there is an immediate removal of all pain, physical, emotional, spiritual, all of it. Then you hide in those first few moments when you are just about to fall asleep for the entire night, but it actually is one minute past noon. I actually thought I'd forgiven my childhood abuser on heroin, not at all I figured that one out after I cleaned up. I have no idea what Chet was running from.... but it sometimes seems like we are all running from something..... Please do not try it, most people DO NOT survive. I was God's perpetual miracle, only reason I'm alive, I know this, and it's part of my process...... I had long already accepted that I was already dead...
