I remember myself, being a high school student, standing at the corner of my apartment building, smoking my first cigarettes and thinking why did this girl texted me asking about homework even though she always had been an excellent student. Little did I know at the time that this was the beginning of our journey with her. Now I’m smoking at my balcony seven years later, trying not to think why the fuck she broke up with me after all these years. But there is one more thing which didn’t left me since that moment, besides my bad habit and the same old apartment building. This song was playing back then and it is playing now. Thank you, Chet.
😢oh man.. that so sucks. Only music can comfort me too. I'm 66 n had a real big life.. n it's still big. If god came down n said I could have a whole other lifetime but without music.. I'd not bother. Hope your heart recovers.. she'll always have that chunk of you though. No avoiding that. Suck it up buttercup n go find yourself again. You might get lucky & find some other beautiful soul.. I hope you do.. Sometimes they even come back.. but that's a minefield. Good luck dude. KAZ from WOOLI
man, sorry to hear about the break up but thank you for such an awesome insight into your experience with this song! I can just imagine how hard the feels would have been hitting with this song in the background for both instances.. hope you're doing well man
Thanks for the support to all of you guys! Now I’m in the midst of a new stage of my life and I’m doing pretty good! And for those who are going through something similar these days, things will inevitably get better! Even if it seems that there’s no way for the better, keep on going! P.S. I haven’t had any nicotine for more than a year! So, I guess, one less bad habit since that moment!
He is, now, uses his name Nick Murphy; he is just awesome, he has no competitor in the market, he would have been earning in million figures if we all had the great taste of music.
I had to close my eyes and was just feeling the song. This live session brought me to tears, I had so many feelings that I could not explain. Thank you Chet Faker, for sharing your beautiful voice!
I cannot hear enough of that even though it's for somebody else today I take it totally too heart May there be as much as you can stand from all the good musicians and then just a little bit more
2021? Many years ago, i cant remember if it was in some FIFA. Delicious music. I used to work in a shop that has the original versión of this song. This acoustic is even more deep 🥰
This has been a staple on several of my playlists, gets almost a daily play and every time it still blows me away. I got love for the original and other covers. But this is just a musically plenoptic wet dream.
I have been listening to Afroman, same song, for the last 2 weeks. Didn't know anyone else sang it! And here is Chet Faker. Never heard of him. Different style, but I liked it! ✌😁
Took me years of coming here to watch this classic rendition to realize the trippy distorted effect they put into the video. Oh and the Come As You Are sign in the beginning. Perfect coffee drinking/waking up song.
The only CD I have in my car is Thinking In Textures and I've nearly worn through it. I thought the album version of this song was great but mind blown by this live version! And for the youngster below, I'm 57 and love all kinds of music.
This is one of the most amazing songs I've heard in my life. I find no way to describe I wasn't a big fan of the original hip-hoppy version but this one is a completely different kind of soul animal.
Jazmine Brown it’s her opinion, why crush it.....conveying deep emotion is soulful, he sings as though he is.... even if the lyrics are uninteresting and cheesy. I never post stuff, but if you read any comments that followed this video , you were the only pseudo-negative comment
Anthony Ciampoli I don’t think he sounds soulful that’s my opinion and that’s why RU-vid included this nice little reply button that you also used. I enjoy the lyrics of the song. His voice just isn’t soulful maybe you just don’t know what that means to say that I’m being negative.
@@jazminerenee123 I covered one of the meanings in my response. You said "there’s nothing soulful about this"....not in your opinion etc.....written as fact detracting from the other post. Just seemed unnecessary....especially given that aside from the nice little reply button, there is an equally useful comment button that you could have used to start your own and not come across as trying to "correct" someone's opinion.
Thank you so much for this soulful and funky version of Blackstreets original banger. It hits just right. You seriously need to do more covers like this.
Shorty get down, good Lord Baby got 'em open all over town Strictly biz, don't play around Cover much ground, got game by the pound Getting paid is a forte Each and every day, two player way I can't get her out of my mind I think about the girl all the time East side to the west side Pushing phat rides, it's no surprise She got tricks in the stash Stacking up cash Fast when it comes to the gas By no means average As long as she's got to have it Baby, you're a perfect ten I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up She's got class and style Sheet knowledge by the mile, Baby never act wild Very low key on the profile Catching feelings is a no, Let me tell you how it goes Curves the words, spins the verb Love as it curves so freak what you heard Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo Man that girl look good Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo Play on, play on Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo She's got class and style Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo No diggity no doubt I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up I like the way you work it No diggity, I gotta bag it up
Luv this version too !!! The AWESOME famed producer Teddy Riley wrote and produced the original I remember the 1st time hearing the song & seeing the video BOTH VERSIONS ARE A PERFECT 10 !!!!
I'm 21, and it's kinda disappointing how things went so programmed nowdays.. prefer real breathing musicians playing than computers but if you dig enough you will find good things, no diggity ;) Can recommend Anderson Paak, Cory Wong, Crumb, Jorja smith, Thundercat..
I dont think age really matters. Those people dont necessarily mean there isn't good music, just that it's very hard to find. And they ain't lying, 50 years ago good music was far more plentiful, nowadays you have 95% regurgitated bullshit with the same beats.
Are you a supermodel? I have to ask I would love to have you on my cover I believe that picture alone would sell many records alone. If I were you I would make many copies of them myself and put them all over the place so that I and everyone else can make sure that they saw me in my prime forever and if you still look like that what is your number we need to talk $eriou$ly LOL I mean no LOL seriously everything is in the right place doing the right things at the right time
❤ i love it Thank you Chris 😢 no words this song bring to me a nice feeling. With this song becsuse it comes from what you like opened my heart deeply. I don't know how you do it😅😘😍🌹 Hombre what a nice song!
