Grandpa definitely earned his lunch break stop. Ya’all seem like you’re keeping busy and working hard so I can imagine Grandpa worked through his life. Keep up the awesome content and keep on farming
I laughed more in this video than any of the others. Just loved your emotional way of dealing with stuff. Thanks, Dougo, for the update on the pork crisis. We used to have over 30,000 head of hogs on our farm and times like these are the last nail in the coffin for lots of producers. Keep up the good work on your videos. I watch them all and am blessed. God bless you all, Don
Come on we need a Nicole’s untold tractor driving video. Come on Chet make her drive while you eat your lunch and ask her questions about how it is to be a farmers wife during planting season and then do another during harvesting.also if you watch coles RU-vid video their new planter has trash cleaning wheels that they can control from their tractor might want to get his opinion on them. Keep up the good videos.
Dougo is catching on more and more to the YT world aaand Chet is on the struggle bus BIG TIME LOL! 🤣😂 Nicole do we get a video with the weed wacker doing the haircut on Mr Struggle bus?💇🏼♂️
Great video. Loved that you and Nicole can travel together and have fun. You are a Blessed man to have the life you have. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.
I love the episode almost had me convinced this was a perfect farm, really showed that no matter how new/perfect your equipment is there’s always a problem, and that’s just how farming goes
I grew up on a farm but moved to the city so its kind of nice to watch you guys do your farm work.I miss those days.Chet is a lucky guy it looks like he is doing something he loves and that in life goes a long way
Is it me or is it just a thing from the past.. what I am jawin on about is when out seeding doing hay or silage, or combining, the happy moments when mom of the family arrives on the Scene with towel covered stacked plates or a huge bunch of still hot pots ECT with dinner.. oh god I miss sitting in the stubble on a hitch frame or in the loader bucket on the bailer tractor hearing dad jawin about what ever farm job we were doing. Not nothing tasted better than mom's dinner and a gust of wind swirled around placing Chaff from a combine in ya dinner. Hi 5 guys so love watching ya all out there so devoted to what ya do
Thanks for this wonderful video, and thanks for not editing out the frustration. You handled it so well and it just confirms how amazing this family is.
I think the problem that you might have had with your display could be that you need to have a planter page with your coverage map page to be displayed at same time.I don't know how you have your pages configured but if you have just a coverage page with guidance so that you can find correct a b line the planter will interrupt that page as you come in and out of ropes planting and not planting.i don't know if I made any sense or not. Keep on keeping on buddy.
The struggle bus had a wheel come off. A good yell never hurt anything, was reassuring to know that someone else goes through one thing leading to another and then we're yelling. Loudly.
Awesome Chet Love it when you get excited and yell at the planter. You are having a good planting season clam down but love the videos. MAde my night 😂
thx for sharing this nice video. Always nice to see your most beautiful side with you on the job! Like it when the 2 of you having a blast !! Keep on going, but don"t mess the heatlands ;-)
I look forward to the Larson Farm videos. Great people that are hilarious. Hard-working people, yet they don't take themselves to serious. Always laughing having fun! Great channel!
Oh I love you guys . Haha when you lost it in the tractor cab was so funny . Stuff always happens when a passenger ride in the cab to lol . Keep up the great work guys . My favourite channel
The case planters have offset disc openers and that’s really helps cutting through trash and yes ik what your talking about those roads being absolute dog shit. They really need to get them fixed
Chet, some days are just like that........glad you're ahead of schedule! Hope we get rain so they grow! But as a contractor, I hope we get it on the weekends! 😁🍻
Chet how about getting treated 2x4 Cut them in half For stake . Paint them white then put maybe 3 different color strip on them orange red another color so no matter how bright or dark you see your mark for drain pipe
Get yetter units. Those row cleaners are worth the money and time to install. You can adjust them on the go. I used mine in crp grass that we notill soybeans into. The dealer said not to use them in grass but I tried and it worked out excellent. What we witnessed was what my grandfather called a planting season or harvest meltdown. It happens to the best of us we don't mean what we say or do it just happens. Lack of sleep and the stress adds up and then we lose it . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
This reminds me of the first time I planted, I finally decided just to put down the row markers and plant that way, I was only 15 running a jd 8370r and a jd 16 row planter, I only was given a 10 minute instruction on how to run the tractor and planter, so it was probably operator error on my end of the planter and God😂😂😂
Row Tech cleaners. With Row Tech air cylinders and precision clean sweep compressor and precision clean sweep box in cab. We put them on our planter this spring and love them so far.
I think it's Martin till. The row cleaners with the cast aluminum hub on the disc that gauges the depth on each disc individually and doesn't let it go too deep or blow out a hole but it has enough to clean your trash or level out dirt and you don't have to worry about if their up or down or what pressure to put on them, they do their own row individually and the best I have seen run. They are simple, durable , and operate by themselves separately for each row
Explanations are appreciated - ie the planting/driving sequence and the hog economy. Everything I hear is the tracks are terrible on the road but the Goodyear/ Titan super singles are the second coming of Henry Fordson. Better fuel mileage too. But don’t ask me, the biggest tractor I’ve ever ran was an Oliver 1850.
I attempted to pull out one of those fiberglass markers at the end of someone's driveway that a plow snapped over - I thought I was doing them a favor, but it was frozen in there and wouldn't budge. You're right thought, I hated life for a week, trying to get all those little bits of fiberglass outta my hand.
We run precision planting row cleaners. Air up, Air down, all the stuff you’d want. Every video Iv and farmers ic talked to usually have trouble with Yetter. Haven’t had one bit of trouble and been running them for 10 years. Not one problem
Yetter and Martin both make good systems. I would give the edge on quality and overall strength to the Martin row cleaners. I have run both and prefer the Martin. Whichever system you choose I highly recommend using shark tooth wheels with treaders
We run Sunco NurtiMate 3 with the Saber Tooth row cleaner with Precisions clean sweep on our corn planter. This is the first season running it so far we like it.
There's nothing wrong with a good rant. Everybody needs to have one every so often. Clears the air & you feel a little better. Your Dad is getting pretty good on camera. I really enjoy the switching between you & your Dad. We have about 90 acres left of soybeans left to plant. It sure was a nice planting season this year. Hope the rest of the years continues the same way. Looking forward to the next video.
The yetter shark tooth Row cleaners are what we use and I really like them We can’t Adjust them from the cab but they are available with adjustments from the cab
Yetters a seem to work very well. There is all so an hydraulic adjuster to adjust depth control automatically from the cab that the cornstar are using works well.
Nice video chet!! hang in their, as you say if it were easy everyone would do it. For row cleaners Yetter is hands down the best row cleaners that I have seen
It's not your dear wife fault it's the machines mess up. I'm sure she didn't mean to bring you a warm Coke. You are lucky to have her. You are truly blessed. Someday to be mother of your children. Heads up to all mothers out there happy Mother's Day. I hope you both are good to your mama's!
Chet on drain tile openings I use a small spring loaded ATV whip or cb antenna with multi color plastic flag banners. Easy to see but if hit they’ll lay over and pop back up.
