Have the lot man, less to carry back to van. I've started taking Henry Weston's organic. Comes in 3ltr box so I drinks a ltr a night or two before then take the pouch with 2 ltr in top of rucksack. Think it makes any mat comfier👌
😂 if it’s cold I tend to drink less. Summer I’m always hammered like 😂. The Henry Weston’s is dual purpose. You open the box when it’s finished and use the pouch as a pillow. You can inflate it by pressing h the valve and blowing. Thank me later. 😂 👌 Atb.

I’m going to experiment and cook more stews. I use those marco Pierre stock things. They’re beautiful 👌 🧑🍳 Nobody can lecture me mate. Just some comments with no context. I rarely drink through the week so I let my hair down up the hills. Although lately a few cans have came home with me. What’s that all about 😂. Atb 👍
Spot on Andy 👍, that short steep climb always gets me, it’s horrible 🤣, canny pitch on top of the crags, always tad windy on there, but great views looking over to the Cheviot etc👌, atb Mick 👍
Yeah it’s brutal that steep bit. I keep telling myself it’s only a short one 😂 the wind turned didn’t it. Came straight in the door. Picked the right tent like. I recorded -5 wind chill. 🥶 for a short steep hike it’s well worth it for the view like. Cheers for stopping by. Atb 👍

Feel your pain on the knee front Andy. Not sure what I’ve done to mine but it’s killing me. Just bought a knee brace to try and get me through the next few weeks. Looked a nice chilled one that Andy. 👍🏼 some decent food too 😉… take it easy. Craig
I used a Velcro strap previously on my knees. I had loads of pain. But now none. The other weeks slip has vanished now. So probably just a strain. Yeah I’m liking the cooking now. It’s a good way to relax. Cheers for watching 👍

People see you have knowledge and experience so they look to you for advice on kit... as you know there is some excellent budget kit as well as expensive.. just never say never when it comes to reviewing good kit please.. take care out there. Cheers. Yeah. I’ve got that powerbank out tomorrow then I’m done with those. It’s nicely seated in my van so my van channel viewers might prefer that. I’ve a new sleep mat to try. (I get through those) and then possibly an electric bike 😂. But a lighter more user friendly one than previous. I think there’s a new bivvy tent on the way. Which I’ll use on here. I try to avoid stand alone reviews. I like to be out using the stuff. If it fails I’ll say so. Up to now everything has been good and I’ve used it all a lot. No more torches though. Yeah mate I do my own thing. You either like it or not. I’m easy about all that. Power bank on 50% after my fridge was running from Friday to Sunday. Very impressive. It’s really picturesque up the Cheviots like. You’re right about the gate too. I used rice in my next cooking extravaganza 😂. Atb mate. 👍

Another good great Andy, the cooking slot is excellent, it shows what you can do in a tent up a hill with good, inexpensive kit. Thank you. Just a bit of a question, what weight are you carrying at the start of your camps? Solo + 6 beers + 2 litre water +2 kilo Pack = 9.5 kilos + other kit, were you a Sherpa in a previous life?

Or maybe it’s the 30 years of carrying buckets of concrete about 😂 once the weight becomes an issue I’ll start cutting back. It’s average about 17-18 kgs. 👍 🫏

I can't believe people commenting how you should live your life, If they don't want to try those excellent beers fair enough but please don't preach to others, My day of doom I had a bunkhouse to myself, I started cooking some soup then got a pain so had to dash to loo and it took a long time, foolishly I had left pan on , when the alarms sounded I dashed back to turn pan off, the place was full of smoke and was stinking, I opened the windows but still it ponged, Next morning woman came and says are you a still here! Nightmare but the real ale was cracking! Lesson learnt! Wild Camping better than a bunkhouse. Cheers Mark!
