Excellent, honest review. It made me realize why I like my 98 Z/28. Only thing I didn't catch was an asking price.

that last mat that was in the trunk would be the deck mat. it covers the area of the trunk behind the back seats.

Me too, love the 98-02 Camaro's and I even like the LS1 GTO's but the LS2 ones are better. I just need a GTO to add to my garage and I will be complete.

Awesome cars. These things ran like 13.3-13.5 stock 12 years ago when they got LS1's. They were way ahead of their time in terms of speed.

For a really nice one, and shown, it is. I won't give specifics because it's strictly money, but I dropped a decent amount over 5 grand for mine. Not a single problem in 2 years, looks like it came from the factory granted a few stone chips. I hope yours treats you the same! Keep these 4th gens on the street

@DiogNewmen - that's funny, because the hinge on my driver's side door creeks as well. I have to hit it with Silicone spray about once every 2 weeks. I think it is because the guy I purchased it from had the car sitting in a garage for a while.

Yes, i am using estimates but The new Z28 uses the same motor found in the slowest COPO camaro without a supercharger which is a 9.5second car the best part is Z28 cornering is 1.05g's avg GT500 is only .97g's avg GT500 heats soaks from 15psi boost, so it can't run the 1/4mile consistently

yea build quality is good. my 6 banger is 15 years old and still runs good.

Good review. I did cringe on the door slamming ;). I always close my ws6's doors very easily. They aren't perfect but are more than enough for what you pay.

@DiogNewmen I agree with you mostly, I didn't like that that he slammed the doors either but what can u do. Chris does do a great job explaining the cars and all their features/engine size and specs etc etc. Great vids Chris keep up the good work. Just don't slam doors ;) lol

This is my favorite car, i love this car because of why everybody hates it. The car looks too 90s and i love that, and can we talk about how you can pick one up for under 10K with RWD, a Manual Transmission AND a big chevy V8

Nah I'm not going to lie I never owned a European Sports car/Sedan but I have driven BMW 3 Series and I'm not going to lie it is very nice very premium but owning a Corvette the interior doesnt bother me. I understand costs had to be cut somewhere and you can upgrade a C5 Corvettes interior to look really really nice but its a good $2000-$4000 for a completly custom interior thats definately where they saved on the Cost. Even on the new C6's its an $8000 option for a leather wrapped interior

the guys who like the 93-97 camaros better typically just hate the bubble headlight front end of a 98-02 camaro. That and the switch from the LT1 engine to the LS1 engine are the only real differences between the two.

Dont get me wrong a nice interior is a bonus and added a few custom touches to my car to make it a little nicer. I'm not applying this to you but I always felt the cheap interior argument was a double standard and it seems like American cars get the brunt of it. Nissan 350Z's have cheapo interiors and the new Ferrari California literally has a dodge Caravan Stereo. Doesnt make them bad cars though but if an American car has a Cheap interior its not a good car you know?

Well, if he is selling it, what's the price? Second, it looks pretty good, but I have an '01 Z28 with leather and t-tops. Add 2 or 3 subframe connectors, and you will stiffen up a t-top car like this really well. You can tighten up the suspension with a better set of springs and shocks/struts. My '01 has only 6500 original miles on it.

Not surprised at all buddy. I'm just saying Its a shame people consider American cars bad because of the interior. Just trying to have a conversation buddy but you win =)

I dont get the cheap interior thing. People who buy these cars care about the power. The Corvette interior does use cheap materials but it is a nice looking interior. Functional and looks great just dont hit it with a hammer and it'll be ok =)

Highway 130 in Texas has an 85 MPH speed limit. It would be a great place to take this car or a WS6.

they are the same. the trans am is slightly heavier, has better interior, and looks more aggressive, but other than that they are the same car

why do these models Camaro's get so much slack and disrespect in compression to the 97 z28 and earlier Camaros and new 2010 and newer Camaros......... I always thought the 1998- 2002 Camaros were the cooler Camaros to date and I still do! there my favorite American muscle(pony) car next to the Trans Am WS6 firehawk and 06 GTO

I habe a 2002 SS full SLP. That camaro is not right. The grill is different, and it doesnt sound good. Plus mine has 340 horse not 325

there were many different ratings spewed out over the years. People, commercials, games, trivia questions, etc have constanly said anywhere from 320-350 hp. Not a big deal to get hung up on, GM down rated the hp anyway to better sell the vette. That grill is an option, i suppose yours is a SS grill with red outline? Thats just his camera making it sound that way, its not like he got on it anyway. His doesnt have the SLP Airbox/intake either but thats because the option want added.
