My 2016 sonic radio is turning on and off and turning the volume up all by itself. It all started on a very rainy day in Florida. Anyone know what could be wrong? I've had to remove the audio fuse so it wouldn't drain my battery. The radio turns itself on and off even after turning off the car. Ive disconnected the battery prior to removing the audio fuse to see if it would reset everything but no luck. I am wondering at this point if I can continue driving my car without the audio fuse until I have money to what I assume is gonna be a very expensive repair. Side note: my battery died a week earlier and had it replaced, could the new battery be causing issues?

YOU SHOULD CHECK THE AIR DUCKT FOR CRACKS. WHEN YOU LIFT THE AIR CLEANER FILTER LID, CHECK FOR CRACKS IN THE DUCT. THIS MODEL IS KNOWN TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE DUCT CRACKING ON THE UNDERSIDE. IF NOT CORRECTED THIS CAN LEAD TO CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAILURE AND OTHER PROBLEMS.
