I like the 40 series better, it not as loud on the interior but still plenty loud on the out side. It also sounds a lot meaner and more like an old muscle car. I definitely am going to put a Flowmaster 40 Series on my 1993 K2500 5.7
I had 90 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.7. I straight piped mine with 5 in tips out the back. Baby did she ever rattle the ground. Damned E-checks were my downfall in the early 2010s. Gave it to my older brother cuz he didn't have E-checks in his county.
I have had both the 40 series and the 44s on my 94 k1500. Both sounded like shit and rusted out in 1 year where the two outlets connect to the muffler case. I put a thrush muffler on with 3" inlet and two 2.5" tailpipes. Sounds excellent like a truck should sound and after 3 years still no rust.
Got to go with the 40's. Classic sound and a tad louder than the 44's. But, I liked the truck that the 44's were on better. Probably because its lifted.😁😁
if i put flowmaster 44 series on grand cherokee 4.7 will it make more deep sound ? I see here 40 original has more deeper sound than 44. But in the internet i see people saying thaht 44 series has more deeper tone.. which one to choose ?
seems a lot of people say the 44 has drone and deeper sound. the 40 is a bit quiter but not to much and no drone. personally me, the 44, but thats cuz im aggressive.
