Onboard GoPro or something similar will help the drive off sound. During windy conditions on your phone/camera or any recording device, a quick tip is to use a a regular dish wash pad like Scotch. Just the yellow scrubber laid over the mic. It’ll remove wind noise and keep most of the sound. I love these videos,evertime I need a sound clip I find your shop! Love it!

The 40 series and super 10 sound the best in my opinion. I have a true dual exhaust; Long tubes to magnaflow cats to super 44s dumped 3in before rear axle on my 97 suburban all tucked between the frame and body of the vehicle so that it doesn't get damaged if the frame slid over some rocks.

I've got a 98 Silverado 5.7. The exhaust I have on it is 3 inch true duels from about a foot back from the manifolds all the way out the back. Removed the converters. It's got flowmaster supper 44 mufflers and 18 inch long by 7 inch tips, it sounds super mean. I've had so many people stop me on the road to tell me they like my exhaust and ask what it has.

I know it’s the quietest but the sound quality of that magnaflow is fantastic.

Used to own a 5.7 and I ran a 2.5” pipes with a flow master super 10 without cats. Best sounding 5.7 I’ve ever heard and loved the exhaust note. Always got great comments on it. Try it out some time on one of your customers trucks. They’ll love it

My pops had a 1987 1500 single cab step side when I was growing up. 3 inch lift on 37s and fully straight piped. Currently on a mission to find that truck again. You can throw all the newest trucks at the market at me but I’ll always take a straight piped 70s-90s shitbox

I like the sound of the 40 series flowmaster. Doesn't have as much pop sound like the 10 series does.

the last one as good as most of the super 10 and it's still like that the 40 but number 10 is the best.. when I hear it it gives me goosebumps

I know GM made heavier duty trucks than the 1500 half tons in the older GMT400 body's and many more powerful later models but I swear, for what they are they're some really durable and tough work horses if you maintain them properly. I bought a '92 model K1500 Silverado 5.7 used back in 2008 for $2200 and with almost 400k miles on it today, I still work out of it and maintain it and it just keeps earning its keep over and over and over again. It never had the best factory paint on it like alot of the 88-98 models did but I just recently got my first rust hole on the bottom corner of the ds ext cab at 30 yrs old lol. I bypassed the AC compressor years ago but aside from that everything still works! I have the stock converter into a FM 40 series dual outlet with 3"×18" tips and it sounds just right for me. Straight pipes, take the muffler off leave the converters on, run the two pipes out behind each tire. I have a 1997 with a 5.7L ( 350 ) done like that, sounds great !!!

I'm stuck on the second one and the last they both sound amazing

It even powerful enough, their was this guy back when I was in highschool who had this 89 Chevy and it was a low rider and the exhaust was so loud and powerful, you could hear it streets over, and it wasn't like an over powering loud, it was like a POWERFUL loud.

The super 10 sounds the best out of those 4. I personally am in love with my setup. I have a 95 k1500 extended cab short bed, took the converters out and im running a customized 40 series single in dual out with 3.5" angle tips turned out at an angle at each rear bed corner. The 40 series was cut in half and the rear dual outlet plate was cut off and welded back onto the front half. Basically it's the front half of a 40 series and welded the dual outlet end plate back on it. Its a little louder than I wanted but it has a really nice sound to me. I have access to a muffler shop and tried several different used mufflers before I came up with the idea to cut a 40 in half. Since then I've done a couple for friends some from front half of a 40 and some from rear half. Mt favorite is the front half of the 40 series. Oh yeah, all of them I've cut were used mufflers that were taken off for rattles due to broken baffles, I just weld them back while I'm in it.

I put a flowmaster 40 in my 98. it's duel 2.25 in 3" out turned it down before the rear axel. Sounds real close to the red step side.

I have long tubes to a flow master. Sounds amazing!! And it doesn’t clap out lol

The dual in dual out flowmaster10 did sound the best but what would have sounded so good would have been true duals wit 8" glasspacks on each pipe and ran 2 3/4" pipes w/0 cats and a set of headers now that a rumbling sound that you never get tired of hearing

I love all the flowmaster exhaust sound but the super 10 is my favorite I used to own a 1997 gmc sierra 1500 and I put true dual cherry bombs under that truck but I should have put true dual flowmaster under that truck !!!!!

I have a 91 that is 3 in straight pipe to a side exit right before back tires. If you like loud and like to hear your truck definitely would recommend. Your neighbors will love you in the mornings to. Waking them up with the sweat sound of bald eagles will make there day.

Porter Mufflers. Stainless steel wool packed. Last forever. Great sounds.

The 1500 with the super ten was nice in my opinion. I have a 99 tahoe true straight piped but it’s raspy so I’m considering adding universal cats and maybe the flow master super 10. Regardless really great video well done

I got my exhaust system flowmaster super 10 sounds good

Best sounding setup is no muffler but leaving the one cat, that’s what I have on my 87 305. Has a nice rumble but not abnoxiously loud.

The last one was fire!!!

I have an 90 bronco with a 5.8 and I use to have the flowmaster 40s with long tube headers no cats no co2 and she was loud and proud sadly I had to change the muffler due to complaining in the neighborhood

Super 10 series sounds clean

Because of how big the stock cats are, those trucks never sound good unless you take those out.

The 40s was nice I got a 99c2500 5.7 vortec ls trim it's stock converters but the way the factory muffler was on it I had to cut right after the o2 sensor on the driver side pipe but I'm either thinking outlaws or straight piped and continuing the true duels out the back with 18 inch tips in 4 inch pipe

Love the sound of the black one only thing I didn't like was the placement of the pipes on the back

I have a 88 Chevy scottsdale and it has high flow catalytic converter and super 10 duals

On the pre-93 (I think) trucks, they use that big pellet style converter, which is what keeps it quiet even with no muffler. I always pop the plugs out and drain/remove the pellets, tack the plugs back in and they flow and sound much better. You probably won't pass emissions if you have it, but it'll pass a visual inspection.

I run long tube headers 2.5 mandrel bent thru Y pipe with 3 inch down pipe to a S44 flowmaster with duel 2.5 out mandrel bent sounds ruthless and very aggressive tone next will probably 10 series flowmaster serious muscle sound

I had a 1993 Cheyenne and then a 1997 Cheyenne, both were straight pipes with no muffler, dumped just beyond the rear axle. Even with the V6 they sounded real deep and real mean. I'd love to see someone request that.

I put free flowing Magnaflow Cats along with a Magnaflow muffler into two tips by the back bumper it sounds good oh the Cats made it flow super good.

My 5.3 has a flowmaster 40 on it but it's only single. It has a good sound but it's not as loud as I'd like it. I'll be doing dual exhaust pretty soon but I'm not sure what mufflers I'll be going with yet.

I had the the super 10 on my 05 ram loved it got a 98 gmc now the magnaflow tru dual would sound good I bet. Idk. Any suggestions???

Flowmaster is the only thing for a chevy truck. My 89 C1500 is a true beast true duals, supper 44 on each pipe, and no cat. Also gotta get a cold air intake or your just doing it for the sound, more air that can come out means you can put more air in.

I have a 40 series on my 5.3 silverado. She sounds really good. My grandpa was even surprised how good it sounds.

Best exhaust for em trucks is headers, straight piping with cherry bomb glass pack , that’s it no cats!
