You may have a blend door issue with your Chevy Camaro, they have videos on RU-vid on how to fix it yourself, if you go to the dealership it’s about 2,500-3,000 for them to fix it, and the part is like $20

Probably not blend door. The AC thermal expansion valves go bad in these cars.

Have same problem here replaced every relay n fuse possible it only even put a new compressor if I jump it blows cold air other wise clutch doesn't engage.....did you find a fix?

@@alessandro_n5514 have not fixed it yet i have coming a set of new knobs maybe its the controlers ill update when replaced.

@@gustavosanchez8158 found my problem, the ac refrigerant pressure sensor was loose, plug it correctly and the ac started to blow cold air

You can go to autozone or oreilys and have them clear it.

Wat if u car isn't showing code but no cold air tried to recharge nothing still heat

Either your heater core is partially clogged or bad blend door motor for the "hot and cold side" it could be intermittent.

You have a blend door issue. Either watch a video and cut it out yourself or just pay alot of money at the dealership and have them put a new one in. Dealership will cost alot of money tho

You might want to check the blend door again if its aftermarket part, sometime it could be defective. Could be a/c compressor is going bad. Im not sure if this will guarantee fix your problem but you can try, its a quick easy fix.

Your thermal expansion valve is probably sticking. You probably need to replace that.

Same problem on my 2012 SS but replacing the Sensor didn’t work 😢 I had my friend charge it up but it didn’t need any Freon. Blend door replaced because it was broken and had that cold/issue but now with new blend door the ac won’t get cold. I hear compressor come on and off. Stuck now. Mechanic said I need to replace the whole AC unit for 3k… of course they would say that lol

Replace the blend door actuator for the hot cold side. The blend door motor is going malfunction, that's why its not working properly when you commanding it.

@@Ah_Duuu_Ma turns out it was warm I went and done a recharge and it started getting cool 🥶

You can buy the obd code reader in any autozone or oreilys stores. If the rat chew any parts of the electrical wires, it will cause intermittent to the component. It will make the car act weird or any parts of the car is not working properly. Best advice is take to to a mechanic shop to have it check out.

The middle blend door is broken VERY COMMON PROBLEM. Part cost $30. Labor is 11 hours removing dashboard. If you do it at the dealership, cost around $2,500 to $3,000. If you do back yard mechanic, the cheap way is to cut a hole in the hvac box. Search it up on RU-vid.

@@pmxevious Yes if you have a good scanner, it read codes, live datas and testing parts. If you know how to use it.

Compressor clutch was not kicking because of the ac code. System have no leak and freon full.

If theres too much air or oil trap in side the a/c system, you can't charge the a/c system. If you see very high pressure on the high side gauge and very low pressure on the low side, theres a freon blockage. Check the expansion valve (if bad you have to replace it). Check if the a/c system have leak, if theres a leak, can't charge the a/c. Check the compressor clutch, if the clutch doesn't kick in, theres no a/c.

It won't take freon because the clutch is not engaging

Check your car, if it look the same and same location, then yes.

Any idea, a/c wasn’t working at all b/c it had a leak at first when I bought the car, after replacing the seal rings and filling it with freon, that’s when I notice the problem

@@rpdfix6056 Replace the ac temp sensor first, easy cheap fix. Make sure freons is completely fill up to the correct amount. Pull the fuse or relay for the compressor see if it it would reset itself. If it doesn't, then most likely is your ac compressor is going bad slowly.

The AC thermal Expansion Valve is notorious for going bad on a lot of cars. In some cars, it's really hard to get to. On the 2010 and up Camaros, it's not too hard to get to, but of course you will need to replace the desiccant pack, then vacuum and recharge the system after replacing the thermal expansion valve.

The part # was on the sticker I didn't want to remove it for the next person, if it goes bad again. As long as it doesn't cover the tip of the sensor.

Yes i did you the exact area of where the part ive put in. Location is on the passenger side, next to the blower motor.

No check engine light code. Only hvac code.

Check the blower motor and the blower resistor. Most likely is the blower resistor is bad. The resistor controls the speed of the blower motor.

I know my Camaro doesn't blow cold air when it's sitting still idling it likes to be moving it it makes the air come out colder when it's moving when you have it in drive and you're not sitting in one place

Check the fuse or relay for the ac compressor, make sure its enough freon in the system for the compressor to kick.

Your blend door motor is bad, it stop working. It's a VERY COMMON PROBLEM on a Camaro. The blend door part cost $40, if you do it the right way, the labor will be 11 hours to remove the whole dash. If you do the wrong way but get to the part faster in 1 hour labor. You have to cut a hole on the hvac box to get it.

This work for the A/C only.

@@Ah_Duuu_Ma update heater is fixed . Jus had to tap the sides where blend door is . Started working again .

Check the ac compressor, make sure the compressor works, if leak, it won't be cold. Check blend door motor, see if it work properly.

Either the blend door motor is bad or the blend door in the middle of the dash is broken, this is a common problem. The blend door part is $35 and the labor around 11 hours for the blend door, the dashboard has to be remove. Total around $1,500.
