I just did this to my 2010 Cobalt, using the these steps helped me out a lot, minus having to modify the speaker adapter it pretty much is plug and play.
Great Video Thanks! One note would be to have the parts used in a little section to be easier to search up but besides that awesome having it typed up to find.
Great video and information. Came here trying to find a good mount since the previous one used didn't fit the bottom and caused water to leak into the car. Me and my cars floor thank you!
The cobalt front speakers always die, because when it rains it goes down into the door and the speaker, it's a design flaw. I don't think I would put expensive speakers in them unless you water seal them somehow.
Awesome Video! I enjoyed the content your putting out and so glad to see it worked for you! My problem is that I used the metra brackets and my door panel trim does not fit back in with the new aftermarket speaker mount bracket. Did you have even the slightest fitment issue putting your panels back on? Im hoping to run 6.5" speakers as well, but the metra harness just isnt accurate and its causing tension on my foor trim amd not closing flush on the bottom corners.
Hey! I decided to try and do my stereo after watching your video and just got it in yesterday. Thanks! I also noticed my front two speakers don't work so I might be doing that next. Did you convert your car to power windows and locks? If so did you do a video on it or do you have any video recommendations on how to do it?
