Ty... Single ladies dyi's and fyi's.... budget friendly how to's... Again I was told $60 for a 30 min "bulb replacement".... for a 2007 Chevrolet HHR left rear turn signal.... I didn't ask about the brake/backup light....😶
It sort of worked for me. I could not turn the bulb socket at all, I had to use a slip joint wrench (in multiple positions in that awful tight space) to force it to turn, and then I found out the 2 plastics were dry/UV rotted and stuck together, so half the socket receptacle (light grey) crumbled. There was apparently enough of it left/still solid that I was able to twist the socket back into place and it seems to be holding, after replacing the bulb. Mine is a 2007 HHR in 2023.
Walmart's website and even AutoZone's site said that the 3057 bulb wouldn't guy my car. I knew they were full of crap. Thanks for the video. Appreciate it.
Thank you SO much for this video! I was able to fix something on a car because of how well you explained it, so that says a lot! I'm not an easiest learner. I can't wait to start bragging to my family and friends. 😂
But I have a problem with my car's left rear turn signal. I thought I could replace the light bulb in the left rear turn signal. The new light bulb is now stuck in the left turn signal light bulb holder in the car.
C, disconnect the electrical connection. Remove the three nuts holding the whole assembly housing. Slide housing back toward the front of the HHR. Remove the taillight from the rear of the vehicle. Thanks!
@@SteveAZ711 I do not have the right tools for this repair. I need to buy a Torque Rench set to take the whole light Assembly apart. Then I might be able to take out the light bulb and replace the new light bulb with the electric cable system. I did take my car to the local auto repair shop. They helped me with the left turn signal holder. It is now working.
Thank you so much for this amazing video I was able to change my light this was very easy and I went straight to the store to buy the bulb this video saved me from going to a mechanic spending lots of money
I get a kick out of the so called experts that trash Chevy's, This vehicle has over 300 k and still runs ! Every Chevy I have ever owned made it to over 200k !
Not yet. When I bought it you could not even hear it idling with the hood closed. This is still the case. IMO this would be an excellent rebuild candidate. For now, I am keeping good oil in it and not driving it like I stole it. I honestly do not know if the water pump has been replaced, but I suspect with all these miles, that it has.
Eco tech engines are excellent as long as you keep up with the maintenance. Oil is cheap, keep changes old school and don't trust the computer 😂. My 2.4 currently has 220k and purring.
Had same problem I thought I finally got the bulb seated week later bulb burned out again removed the panel the bulb had worked loose and fell out of its position and melted the taillight this happened on both sides. Had to buy new taillights.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2007 HHR and same light and same fast blinking. Finally found out my turn signal wasn’t working the same as you. So thanks for this and I’ll buy bulbs soon and get them both replaced. So its the 3057 LLB2 bulbs right? How much did they run you remember or anyone know?
You're welcome. I have a link at the bottom of the video in the description. On your phone there is a little ^ only upside down. An arrow of a sorts. Tap it to see the commentary and the blub link. In case you missed it.
This is the simplest fastest replacement video I have watched it's 3 years old but it's really the best thank you so much. PS I do have had a lot of little fixes with this HHR but I love it thank you for your help
