@@scrapdaddysgarage5027 just had the fuel lines replaced in a 2007 cost $780 and my 2006 four years ago cost $340 the mechanic told me GM raised the part price
The tank does not need to be completely empty, the less the better, if it is too full fuel fuel can sometimes gravity siphon from the lines, so be careful
My 2010 HHR started that exact same leak. There's no way I can afford to take it to get fixed. And unfortunately I doubt I can do that myself due to my bad back I'm on disability for
@@lavernereese4048 I do have mechanic experience and even have done this repair on vehicles I've owned in the past. Me and a buddy went to do this but couldn't get our hands to it cause of where it is and where the jack has to go. I swear little people need to be mechanics, there's so many things normal sized people have issues reaching. My blower motor is squealing too, and I don't see easily getting my 6'3" 255lbs ass into position in the floorboard
otto family If your car has a external fuel filter now would be the perfect time to replace it, some models have the filter mounted in the gas tank I only replace those when changing fuel pumps. Thanks for watching
@@scrapdaddysgarage5027 My HHR is a 2009, so same spec as your 2010. I'm replacing entire length of fuel and vent line like you did here with similar kit. the mix of abandon and remove of old line will help alot. thx again
Not sure of the size, I know that the outside diameter of the Oem steel line is the same as the plastic tubing that comes with the kit from gas tank renu. Thanks for watching, please subscribe if you haven’t already.
Scrap Daddy's Garage thank you very much for the quick reply I’m currently having to replace my gas lines on my Chevy colbalt and having nylon lines put in same with the whole exhaust
Check the vapor line for any breaks, there won’t be any liquid fuel coming from damaged parts, only the smell. If you can’t see anything you might have to have a repair shop use a smoke machine to find the leak. Thanks for watching, be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already.
