Hey, this is a great video and I’ve learned a lot, I was wondering if I could just hook up the converter’s power and ground wire to the other ground and power wire coming from the harness into the factory amp.

I have a 03 Yukon Denali, so this video may not be applicable to me. Are the wires going into the factory amp line level (2-5mV) or speaker level inputs are they full range or sub input range. If low range what is the crossover point😉 thanks for uploading the information😙🙏🇺🇸

So you ran the RCA straight to the amp. What if your RCA is running from the head to the amp? If i wanted to add rear deck speakers? (Which doesn't come on some GM cars) My amp ony has 2 RCA inputs. Which is already in use. Can i leave the RCA port empty on ILC ?

Would this be the same principle for 2017 Silverado with factory BOSE ??? I installed Android head unit, used harness they supplied wit when purchased,. Everything works except I hav NO SOUND! The green plug on the harness has red(pos)&blk(neg) however on harness that came wit android head unit has those and also speaker wire pins also,. I even hooked up my aftermarket amp and two 12in subs in truk box under bak seat, amp light comes on green(no system overload(red light) ) idk what I’m doing wrong,. Any help , I’d appreciate,..

Just add your own amp and bypass the factory amp.

You dont actually need to use a Low Output converter. All you have to do is cut you rca cables and wire them into the low outputs going into the amp from the radio. Also if you have a Suburban you can buy a Wilson 30512VPP 12V Power Plug with Brass Posts to hook your remote wire for your amp.

Yes u can you can just bypass factory bose sub or even the whole factory bose amp.

@@ry2d276 Yes just slice into factory bose sub amp wires like i show in the video that is the easiest way by far or u could splice into R + - / L + - rear speaker wires but you have to remove rear door panels & speakers to splice into those wires & route new wires to amp for new subwoofer you're installing so this is not as easy as just splicing into amp wires from under center console if u do splice into rear door speakers FYI you still leave rear speaker wires attached to R/L rear door speakers

Does this work even with a aftermarket head unit bc I get no sound to my subs even tho I have sub outputs from my head unit . I have a bose system with a stock sub and I’m just adding a aftermarket sub or what would I need to do

I had the same problem with these apple car play Amazon head units. I had to wire my subs like this to get them to work with the head unit.

I tapped into my door speakers for my converter but I have some voice coming through wil doing it this way give me straight bass signal since those wires go to the factory su

Yes you can still leave factory sub hooked up I did on mine you just need to tap into the wires also make sure your Hi Low Convertor is adjusted correctly you turn the 2 small knobs on Hi Low Converter to adjust it this may solve your problem it won't make a diffence tapping into factory sub wires that's not your problem also where did you tap into door speaker wire at it has to be after door speaker wires come out of facory amp if you removed door panels & tapped into door speakers that way that fine also you just can't tap in right after wires come out of factory stock radio/head unit cause of factory amp also make sure your amp setting are correct the switches for switching amp to use for regular speakers mode or sub woofer mode also other switches on there I can't remember now without looking at a amp like HZ & dB settings act hope this helps LOL sorry to make it such a long reply such I have lots of spelling errors hope u get it goin good luck!!!!

Check the wires to make sure you didn't wire it to wrong corrector plug i think there is 2 plugs if i remember correctly 1 for door speakers that goes to factory amp & 1 for factory sub that is in the front of the center console you probably wired them to wrong corrector plug if i had to guess cuz you want to wire them to factory sub corrector plug wires let me know if this helps if not give me some more details & i can try & help you the best i can! @@doubletrouble_8753 It probably cause you don't have factory amp then to power speakers your truck/suv has BOSE factory audio system correct cause if it does you need need the factory amp in the center console to power your speakers or just buy a aftermarket head unit with built in amp in the head unit off amazon linked below plus wiring kit to wire up aftermarket head unit amzn.to/39lWCqR my 2 cents

Factory amp doe's not have enough power to power any kind of aftermarket sub you need aftermarket amp & actual getting good amp is much more important then when what type of subwoofer if your going to go cheap on something go cheap on the sub not the amp my 2cents hope that helps

It's built into that High low converter it automatically senses when there sound there's a link for it in the description and then it turns on your amp

Could be multiple things but to start with did you adjust the 2 knobs with flat head screw driver on High Low Converter to turn them up & did you check the switchs on the amp to make sure all setting are correct on amp?

I’m sure we can get it figured out if you can bear with me and give me a little more info it’s probably something stupid that is causing this could be A number of different things that will cause this issue. The amp that you’re using did you buy it brand new or is it a used amp are you 100% sure the amp is not blown? What kind of Hi Low converter are you using The same kind shown in the video if so is that on the fly adjustment knob turned at least halfway up if you’re using a different brand or model hi low converter can you give me the brand model and or part number of the hi low converter you’re using if you bear with me I’m sure we can get this figured out.

@@EverydayImTECHnIt so.. I had a brain fart! I accidentally wired the 2 brown ground wires on my loc to the harness instead of the speaker grounds. Rookie mistake. Other than that your video is the only thing I could find on installing with this factory bose in my denali. As of a couple hours ago my system is completely installed and sounds great. Thank you!

I'm just here to stop this God forsaken Bose speaker door chime that's embedded in the radio.. I don't want to get rid of my vise radio but I can't stand the constant chiming for the air bag warning and the door. I like my sound but I'd also like an amp to ad to my system to ad 2 6x9 enclosed boxes so I can have more sound. Will that device you linked with the little knob control that as well?

Most adapter kits come with a chime box that you can either select a different noise or leave unplugged all together as it does not utilize the factory chime system
