Update on the wiring issue. You gave the exact description of my problem, and after a rain delay, found the same exact wire broken. Everybody should follow your suggestion to troubleshoot, not be a parts replacer. Now to what I hope is not the more difficult part of finding the part and getting things back together. Yep made the mistake of buying the switch and having no luck, pulled the whole thing apart as just my mirror switch wasn’t working for me, turned out little green wire with white stripes had snapped in the door jam, fixed it and everything works well now
You got any recommendations on a 2014 silverado front windows not working but rear are, also driver door always reads ajar. Codes U1534-00, U1538-00, and U153A-00. Wires ohm good haven't found any breaks or corrosion in driver door.
I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and none of the window controls work on the driver side but the switch one the other doors work for their windows. The only button that works for that section is the child safety lock. Could it be a wire and if so where can I find the part to replace it?
It's sad because I have a 2006 GMC yukon and the door wiring harness has not given me any problems. I have a 2018 Sierra, and so far everything is okay, but I've seen this issue many times on these trucks. Has GM really skimped that much on the quality of wires?
Quick question. My driver mirror on my 2014 Chevy Silverado got knocked off and I had to rebuild the motor but when I put it back together the motor continually runs when the vehicle is locked I'm wondering if you know why that would happen?
Question, how do you find a good pdf of the wiring schematics? I bough a haynes manual but with my older eyes I can't read the diagrams. I always end up scanning the pages and blowing them up so i can read them
We use a few systems. Alldata Identifix Mitchell on demand Or you can use a site I work on called justanswer.com and a tech can supply you with the diagram. I think you can get a days pass for alldata from autozone Alldata diy its called or something. Also check nastf.com it shows all the manufacturers websites
Mines just stopped working but the power mirror , window and lock only on the passenger I've noticed when they shut the passenger front door the music stops for a quick second but im pretty sure I'm having this problem the speaker still works though
My 09 Chevrolet Silverado driver window rolls down but mirrors switch, lock switch, passenger window and rear door windows wont. Rear windows wont go up or down either with their individual switch but the front passenger window individual switch will roll up and down.
Question with my tow mirrors. They are power folding but they don’t fold. Everything else works as for power in the mirrors would like to fix it as it is annoying to get out of the truck an manually fold them in. When I hit the fold button I can her this clicking sound over in the passenger side. Wondering what is going on with it. Blown fuse or bad wires. Clicking is signs that the motor is broken or teeth in the gears. So power would be present. But the master switch controls the power and ground. Both sides have same wire colors. Grey with a white stripe and white with a green stripe. Theres like 3 connections between the master switch and the mirrors 😭😭😭. Gm and their darn connections. Can either ohm from switch to mirrors or also watch my simplified diagnosis video on how to check wiring.
I can almost guarantee you they broke when you went through a car wash, and they either pushed the mirrors back, not knowing they were automatic, which will break them exactly what happened to mine
Hi I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado. And my marker and tail lights stay on for around 10 minutes. The dome lights go out in about 1 to 2 minutes. Why do the marker lights stay on so lot. I been trying to figure this out and no one can answer my problem. I replaced the head light switch, the relay. It’s not the radio,and day time Amber sensor. Do you have any idea? I’m scratching my head.
which relay? there is a parking light relay, that may be sticking closed . The parking lamp relay is activated by the BCM. So either the relay is sticking closed or the BCM is keeping the relay energized. the circuit seems very simple. The headlight switch tells the bcm its position, then the BCM activates the relay .
So I hAve 2021 Chevy Silverado 4 door . I got a aftermarket amp installed and now the passenger window won’t go down and the amp step won’t go down if the front door opens. The back passenger door when open it will let the amp step go down and up. The power mirror works on the passenger side. Can anyone help me
