That compound turbo 2jz Tacoma, is honestly the coolest sounding vehicle I've ever heard coming up on the transbrake. Listening to that big 110 start to spool up is like listening to a general electric turbine engine starting. And you can hear both of the turbos spooling individually which is super cool. Plus mid-6s? Wild as hell in a tiny truck like that.
@@keefespencer1173 Yeah I saw that. I think everybody's trying to get away from nitrous. And Turbo technology has come so far that it makes sense that a proper compound set up could basically mimic having nitrous without the volatility, and extra tuning involved with matching fueling to the nitrous and boost
kyle that backseat interview was actually GREAT !!!! the format worked awesome, could quality audio and awesome perspective of the car from that point of view. very cool
Thanks for the upload! Please film more of the heavy weight class. It’s full of hellcats, Camaros, and CTSV’s. It’s a lot more relatable vs the million dollar exotics and GTR’s for a lot of us.
At 29:00 white is right an old contractor used to tell me for home renovations to flip white is right paint it all white 🤣 if they want it repainted it's a blank slate hides imperfections too makes everything look nice!!!
Ok, My favorite channel is 1320, The format is on 🎯 Target,it shows the racing,it shows the racing that runs the record in all categories, it's the Next Best to being there in person, thank You so much (I live in Southern California)
This guy my cousin used to work with had a starlet that was 2jz swapped that thing was so damn fast that English town and atco would only let him run the 1/8 mile with it because they were afraid he’d run out of brakes by the end of the 1/4mile track it was running 3 second 1/8 mile passes consistently
You literally read my mind with the 6 sec passes. I remember when ppl were trying so hard to get into the 6s now every other car can hit a 6. Good time to be alive.
honestly as an aussie I've always wondered why ford America and Gm didn't pickup more aussie models seeing how much Americans love g8's and the ss which are holden commodores i have a pretty good feeling that you guys would love the ford falcon which is a 4 door sedan that came stock with the 4.0 Barra and our sport utes
@@TimMoore-gv7hu I’ve seen the Holdens. I can tell you as an American at the time when GM brought the SS to market it was just before or during the 2008 recession and gas went up to $4.00 or more a gallon people stopped buying anything V8 powered (gas guzzlers). At the same time the Hummer got axed. I’m a lifelong V8 guy. I daily drive a 2003 Ford Explorer Limited with the V8 4.6L and a 2003 Mustang GT with the V8 4.6L. I’m never letting them go 😀
@brettconv83 It's funny because the base 6 cylinder in the commodores from memory is a v6 sourced from either pontiac or buick, and the v8's in the late model commodores were ls motors i honestly don't get why chevy or pontiac wouldn't offer the full fleet of different commodores to you guys considering that most the driveline components in late model commodores ends up coming from America
Since that ss came out I have literally only seen like 4/5 of them in person and I drive an hour on the interstate almost everyday and work in a big college city still have hardly seen one why is this
Biddy in the SS, you should leave your helmet on as long as possible when your car is on fire. A fireproof neck gator is also a good idea. Offroad racing requires these things. At best keeps your eyebrows, worst case keeps your lungs from being seared.
Dang Kyle why you gotta do him like that that lol 😂 " I liked it better when it was white" I'm so dead I can see that man's pride fly right out the window .... still a badass SS
For my fellow aussies if your confused or curious as to why the holden commodore is referred to as a chevy or pontiac in america don't forget that when they were exported to America they were rebadged as the g8, gto and ss and considering that 1320 video is american and they have a large american audience and that the video was filmed in america it makes sense that they would refer to the commodore by its american name so audiences don't get confused
@EllaMKer it's got nothing to do with mansplaining. i was letting other aussies know because i saw a couple of comments where people were asking why Americans refer to commodores as an ss. i don't see how that's mansplaining
@EllaMKer well apparently they don't because if you actually look through the comments, you'll notice that there are multiple people asking about why it's called an ss
I take it from him not being there that ol coop wasn't able to get his car back together and running properly. I was looking forward to watching Cooper compete in the 2JZ class
@@TheOobrum The DSC Lambo and GTR racing classes are boring to me as well. I like seeing cars and trucks that weren't meant to be super fast, whoop up on cars that started out pretty fast. Also, the amount of money invested in GTR's and Lambo's immediately makes it unrealistic for most people to achieve. I have a 34 year old GMC truck that hurts a lot of people's feelings on the street. $10k total investment so far. These guys are starting out with $100-200k car, then spending that much again to build them. If I had $200k in my truck, it would be almost untouchable, and I wouldn't have to "roll race" to keep stuff from breaking.
