Favorite part is when you bite the tail off the greenback to get them to eat. It's amazing how that tarpon ate the bait during a slack tide like that. The shows are getting better and better.

is it the line that makes the noise when you cast ? or what is it?
@addictivefishing
@addictivefishing 11 лет назад
The 7'6" Flats Blue will work for smaller fish, but if you need more power, move up to the 7'9" GEN2FlatsBlue rods.
@addictivefishing

depends on how big the fish are you are targeting. 4 awt - 6 awt is the middle of the road.

Hey Blair/whomever runs his fb page, what power rating on the rod/reel do you recommend for those big snook around the docks? I know you said the rod isn't being produced anymore but what rating was it/do you recommend for being strong enough for snook but light enough to throw those live baits?

joseph clark 50 lb Seaguar flouro leader
@addictivefishing
@addictivefishing 13 лет назад
@FlatlineFoster863123 I estimate my leader to be longer than the fish I'm targeting. You don't want the fishes tail to come in contact with your main line.

I got totally snapped on my finger by a mangrove. He was about twelve inches long, bit me so fast I didn't see it coming. Once he latched on he was determined to not let go. Oh God, the pain in those ten seconds or so was really intense. A lesson learned, don't get your finger anywhere near the strike zone with a mangrove.

Here in the Netherlands, using life bait is not allowed. But wait, it gets worse. I live in Amsterdam and some politicians here want to put an end to recreational fishing. Apparently there are a lot of people that think fishing is abuse of some kind. It's sad really...
