An evergreen patriotic song from the film “Hum Hindustani (1960)”. The film starred Sunil Dutt, Joy Mukherjee and Asha Parekh. It also had Sanjeev Kumar in his debut. The film was a remake of the 1952 Bengali movie Basu Poribar.
The song was written by Prem Dhawan and the music was composed by Usha Khanna. The song was sung by Mukesh. This song was and still is very popular and is usually played on national functions like Independence Day and Republic Days.
