Peruru is just a little joke :D for the movie, but he never appears in the manga (Thanks Godness). Chibiusa fell in love with Helios. :) In my opinion they are the perfect, and the saddest couple, because of the different time. :(
I don't think he was a joke I think they originally wanted Chibiusa to have a male friend that she wasn't in love with, but decided not to put him in the manga. I like both ships honestly and SMC did a much better job with the Heliusa ship compared to the 90s.
Funny story: Back in 2012 during my high school years as an idiot freshman/sophomore normie student, I made comment about both between Chibiusa and Peruru and how they both deserve to have relationship on Sailor Moon Facebook page, but I ended up recieving angry comments from triggered SM fans. To be fair, alot of SM fans are super toxic and obsessed with Japanese origin, and they can be very rude towards you no matter how harlmess your comments is. Alot of them are middle aged white women who had Mean Girls mentality while the others are from Europe, very super toxic. Stay safe and I wish anime community shutdown all toxic fans on site
I was a junior during that year and started out most of my stuff on here with Sailor Moon. I do see how they could have had one in an alternate timeline or universe. People get triggered very easily over ships sometimes but everyone is intitled to think how they want to because everyone has there own perpective. You're not wrong, SM can be very toxic at times depending on different factors from how 90s did things or how Crystal and the manga was done to even ships. Oh it's just them, I've seen both gender get into the super toxic sides, even going so far as to bring other animes against SM into it. I will do my best to stay safe, I hope you to as well. Thank you for your comment it was a very pleasent one to read.
