I discovered the channel just before the EVH boom because I bought a Greeny Chibson that went very well and your channel popped up along that journey. Then I got the EVH from the same seller you did and as functional guitar rack art, no regrets. But much gratitude. Thanks for showing us what's out there.

100% on every single point! Thanks for clarifying who you are, what this channel is about, and the general “ground rules” and expectations. And thanks for making me feel welcome as a female. Some channels and/or their subscribers make it like a boys only club, and it kinda sucks because a more diverse community makes it a more interesting and informed place. There are, however, some great channels that make me feel welcome and valued as a female guitarist who is also interested in gear, music and guitar history, repairing and maintaining instruments, etc. just like all the men, I enjoy voicing opinions, providing advice, and learning things that I don’t know, etc. I am also disabled with physical issues, as well as having and TBI, and have helped many people with ideas that makes playing guitar more accessible with a variety of challenges. Above all, I also keep it positive and inject humor to keep it fun. Keep doing what you’re doing - and thanks for voicing this! Thank You for all that you do with this channel! You are a major help to someone like me who doesn't play guitar but I have a 14 and 12 year old guitarist who love and ask for guitars and gear. I love guitars! Don''t care who makes them, where they come from, or what logo is on them. Having stated this, I would rather if they were not made by Fender, Gibson, etc, that was not on the headstock. Most of the time there isn't a choice. I have bought cheap guitars and made them play better. I have purchsed guitars with broken necks and bad electronics and repaired them. I have built guitars from scratch buying original Gibson and/or Fender parts. It is all good and fun for me to do this. Keep up the great work and have fun!

I saw your review for the Ace Frehley guitar and really liked the review so much that I purchased my first “Chibson” and was so happy with the guitar I received. I have a few friends that I showed the guitar to and didn’t tell them it was Chibson and they were blown away. I purchase a case and put an Ace Frehley sticker on the case and glued an iron sticker inside the case and it looks like it was purchased together. The guitar is stunning and it will be forever in my collection on who made it🎸🎸🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Mike i love your content and the fortitude you have towards the stupid crap they throw at you!! Gibson, fender, evh etc etc are pissed because there days of charging 20x's what a guitar is worth are coming to an end!! The fact is Chinese guitar makers are stepping there game up and these big names are scared!! Keep doing what your doing bro!!!

Agree Mike on everything. I burst out laughing 😂😂 about the assholes. I too tell and show all the facts when I take my guitars apart. Most often I get good value for the cost I pay for them. Then I invest more money and my time to make them better. Keep it up.

@Fulton Street Beats. Ibought a Chibson, Ace Frehley Blue Sparkle, based on your review. They are a solid guitar for the monies. If some one is anti Chibson, the FireFly brand is a really good sfarting spot as well. I own a real Gibson and its great. Its a 1988-89 Studio. I figured A Chibson would be fun for a comparrison. I own 3 Firefly LP models and a 338 semi hollow body. Great guitars for the money. I own a few Harley Bentons as well. A semi hollow body and a Flying V. Another great atarting point. I love my Gibson and I love my American Strat. But, i would rather leave those at home if im takimg a guitar somewhere like a gig, flying etc. A $250.00 guitar is a low risk for breakage. Carry on! Your channel is great!!! Love your content.

@@FultonStreetBeats no problem. Sometimes its best put down a little money to see if the guitar is right for you. Sound, weight, set up, bridge Vs tremolo bar, etc. Nothing worse than an expensive guitar shoved into the back corner of a closet and not beimg used or cared for.

you're a great man...love your channel,love your way to present the instruments,so accurate and precise.I follow you from Italy and I am a Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul lover,and maybe maniac but i am not a guitar snob ,absolutely, and l am very interested and curious about Chibsons...once l bought one but it never arrived,fortunately l was refunded but curiosity it's still there...great bchannel and you're doing a great job...cheers from Italy

Just recently found your channel and I appreciate your chibson videos. I have been hesitant to buy another chinese guitar because I bought a randy rhoads model about 4 or 5 months ago and srill have yet to get it to play and ser up well. But after watching your rhoads LP video i bought one of the cracked mirror dime guitars from the seller in that video and had them make some changes and cant wait to see how it olays. Hope to continue seeing your channel grow!

@@FultonStreetBeatsSpeaking of the randy Rhoads V did you have issues with your pickup rings causing interference being magnetic with the pickups? I had to change mine out because they were giving awful feedback and have had an awful time trying to find a chrome plated pickup ring made out of brass or plastic that fits. I just ordered an aluminum set that should be here soon hope they work. I was just curious thanks!

I have recently perchace a Chibson Les Paul, used and for me it feels and plays great. I love the positivity and totally agree that the name on the headstock should make no difference. I dislike when people have say tgings like your a Dumb F for wanting to upgrade that fake guitar. Any way thanks for the content, its great

I love your channel bro. And I love the chibson reviews. I don't think chibsons hurt gibson. If someone has 5k for a guitar they will buy a gibson. If they struggle to find 300 or so to make a purchase then buying a chibson is a no brainer. It is a roll of the dice a little bit. I just bought my first off ebay. I'm holding my breath until it arrives and I can look it over. I currently have no idea what's on the head or what tuners. Not even sure what bridge it's coming with bc the listing showed 2 different ones. But the seller has 100% feedback and those details aren't important to me. I can do 265 and upgrade later. I can't do 5k from sweetwater for a similar one. Not in this economy. But maybe I will buy gibson deluxe tuners for it. That's money in gibson's pocket they wouldn't otherwise have and that's a win for them in my book.

Dude you don't have to explain yourself to the poo poo crowd, they're never going to be satisfied with anything you say. I ordered a Grote guitar from an OEM factory that makes all the name brand imports and they sent me a Chibson instead, it has a beautiful Ebony fretboard, one piece Mahogany Body and neck, perfect fret job and intonated. Tuning stability is great and so is the finish, I installed a $50 pre wired set of Epiphone Probuckers and now have a great guitar for less than $400. I also have a new Firefly guitar that's pretty darn good too.

There's another category of players out there that never gets mentioned. And in this respect I think that maybe somebody should mention it. This is the category of people who, like me, started playing way back in olden times, during the very dark ages of early guitar playing. For us, it is not so much whether or not, let's say, a Chibson, is or is not particularly good or better, say, than something else, especially, say, a Gibson. No, for those of us who can remember how horrible those old times were, we don't really look at guitars quite the same way. What we look at is essentially: is this better than what we used to have? Is this better than the awful stuff with which we started? For us, it's bizarre to suggest an actual comparison between say, a real Gibson, on the one hand, and a Chibson or some other inexpensive guitar, on the other. After all, who in the world would not vastly prefer to have an actual Gibson Les Paul over a more inexpensive version of that? Obviously there's really no comparison, at least for the most part. It's mostly a question of what is most economically viable for most of us. Some of us old timers are not really all that keen on having to modify everything that we buy. So, then, the question then becomes: is this guitar playable? Does it perform the basic functions for which we purchased it, in the first place? Essentially: does it qualify as a reasonably serviceable guitar? When the answer is YES then that is just good enough. For the old-timers like I'm talking about we still remember how terrible things used to be. So, in a nutshell, we don't expect the world --- we're just happy when things work out, at least for the most part. For some of us, at least, many others seem to have become way too spoiled. And --- yes I'll say it --- way too entitled.

Maybe one day ill open up a chibson recovery clinic. For some of the bedrooms and man caves ive seen its vital i get to work. Some have a awful addiction. So what ill do to start with is relieve them of the addiction and confiscate all the chibsons in their arsenal yeah that's it ill take em all no such thing as to many chibsons unless you're addicted and i certainly am not but boy theirs many that need help. I have a gear question. I have a Marshall avt50 head with a cd input. Now that I am married I’m looking for a smaller 1x12 combo tube amp with this same feature. Does this exist? Does not have to be a Marshall by the way.

i love the big brands but their prices are not really in reach for a common person with a family , hence why we need things like chibsons .And some of the cheap brands just didn't make the styles we like. So its my money and i will buy the chibsons.

I like the channel and I appreciate the work, but I have a question: I get people buying Chibsons Explorers or so, because those are guitar rarely available through Epiphone, but why get a Chibson Les Paul when you can get an used one and refinish it? Cheers Mike!

Epiphone is also made in China. I have 2 of them plus a 1.3k (retail) Diamond guitar also made on china (I got it cheap because of poor fret job). I will never pay 2.5 to 5k for a gibson. I dont really want a used one. Chibsons are also fun to work on or gig with. No stress involved. If I want to buy from a legit brand I'd get another epiphone but epiphone pays china for them. I don't see why I can't if I'm willing to take the risks involved.

@@FultonStreetBeats I got my guitar from ali express the ace frehley les paul and I do need to do some work on it the pickup is junk and hardware is to. So I'm going to replace all of it. I'm going to put a super Distortion DiMarzio in it like Ice uses I'm going to change the tuners to Grover locking tuners I'm putting gifts and pods in it volume and tone knobs and then I'm going to get the gifts and tell peace and Bridge for it
