Jesus Christ!!! This is my childhood in vivid color. What a treasure trove of carriers of that time. Question: how on earth did you manage to not include a single Midway Airlines jet at Midway Airport? That is a feat in itself. I would hopefully assume that the complete video contains much more, yes?

I am finding some inconsistencies with the 1993 year. The Lufthansa 742 according to airfleets was scrapped in 1980. And that America West at 8:10 is registered N620AW. That aircraft is stored now but was with America West only for a year from 1989-1990 and then became a US Airways aircraft. Perhaps this is a collection of footage from different years.

What's wrong with the winglets? The only thing really to be missed is the variety as it was before a lot of mergers. I don't really differentiate the sounds of engines. But with that said you couldn't find out what type of plane or route it was at your fingertips with flight aware. Or listen to ATC

@@kinkisharyocoasters Winglets make the plane look ugly, especially the really large winglets. The clean lines of the wing are broken up from the side and the back and front. That American Airlines DC-10 @ time stamp 6:06 🥺 Ironically, today happens to be May 25 ( 2024 ). Every year on this day, I honor those who died in that tragic accident, along with our military personnel and veterans on Memorial Day.
