We only have a single nose tackle in billings… if billings gets injured we lose the rest of our games teams will run it straight up the middle control the clock and make us look really bad. Nose tackle is a position that requires rotation you can’t expect 1 guy to absorb double teams up and down the field and never get injured. We definitely have the worst D line in the nfl. We focused so much on 3 tech when we drafted two 3 techs last year picked up one as a priority udfa this year let Gervon dexter cook let Zaach pickens cook let billings keep doing his thing but get the man some help. Booker is an improvement over walker and hopefully he starts this year.

@Sports Talk Bears - How about a video for UDFA LB Carl Jones Jr? He has 4.52 forty speed and similar combine compared to Trevin Wallace who was drafted in the 3rd round. A possible rotational player with Jack Sanborn or could end up starting.

Jamree Kromah may be better than Austin Booker and I hope Ryan Poles gives Kromah the snaps if he outplays Booker. Since Ryan Poles wasted a 2025 4th round draft pick to get Austin Booker, he may give Booker the snaps regardless if Kromah is better. Drafting Tory Taylor cost the Bears that 2025 pick. They could have traded down in the 4th, drafted Austin Booker and then a punter with the other pick received in that trade. Tory Taylor or Ryan Rehkaw if Taylor was drafted before the Bears pick. P Ryan Rehkaw had a higher yards per punt in his career and in 2023 than Tory Taylor. Rehkaw also had a higher percentage of punts inside the 20 than Taylor. Ryan Rehkaw was signed as an UDFA by the Chiefs.
