ATL probably was concerned that we might also trade out of #8 and get more. But all ATL had to do was say "only if you use the pick". Then it's a done deal.

I personally don't see the Bears giving Allen an extension at his age especially. They need to find value for that 3rd WR slot and while Keenan is great, he's not a value. I expect Keenan to be an asset to Caleb Williams easing his transition to the NFL. The salary cap is a thing and I just don't see it. I'd also be surprised if DJ got extended this year.

Ryan Pace was probably involved in the Falcons turning down the pick. He doesn't like to have too many picks in the draft.

Edmunds brings much to the table that kinda goes unnoticed. 4 picks plus causing a couple more w his length I'm sure. Nothing in the box score or stats for some of what he brings us. Maybe a lot of $ but remember we got TJ also for the same it woulda cost for Roquan . And we got a 2nd which turned into Tyrique if I'm not mistaken

Hey Swifty. As always, I love the show. You’re doing great work. I think it’s highly unlikely that Allen returns. He is still looking for a maximum contract. I could not imagine anyone paying him that at his age. We needto sign DJ Moore. That should be the priority.

if the bears move to 8 with falcons then what's to stop another team from calling the bears and making them a big offer for a Qb at 8... it's possible the falcons would not have got there guy in that scenario... unlikely but if a teams offering a lot the bears might move again.

Sanborn is a better Mike to me, especially in the run. But then when you get in Nickle, Edmunds is the better Mike. Edmunds more a cover guy where Sanborn will hit a hole, run a Guy down. What is Noah Sewell doing ya know? I like our starters, just use them like you did late last year. In Base Edmunds should be outside. 💯

I live in ATL and I don't believe they wouldn't have taken that deal and that's why it makes NO sense! Media speculation is one thing but let's hear it from Falcons mgmt THEN I'll believe it! D.J. actually may be harder to resign than Allen especially if he has a HOF season, just saying.

It doesn’t make sense, so that means you’re missing some information. Yes, I understand GM are not all knowing , but it’s laughable and vain content foolishness to think you know more. It seems more reasonable to believe that the decision on who the Falcons were drafting wasn’t made until the last minute. Duh!
