Interesting playing the What If game. If the Bears had won those 3 games the Bears would've made the playoffs. Justin Fields would still be the Bears QB1, especially if the Bears won a playoff game. There's a chance Poles would've traded up for Rome Odunze or traded the #1 draft pick and drafted Odunze or Marvin Harrison. There would be no Caleb-mania this off-season. He would be a Commander. But, the Bears would've had their edge rusher in the 1st or 2nd rd to play the opposite side of Montez Sweat. No Austin Booker.

If he's that great then sign him regardless. He will eventually be fully healthy. He can then stepp in and take over. If you get a chance to get a guy like this especially the bears. You go for it. Even if he doesn't play this year. He'll be fully healthy next year and ready to go.

Until he puts up the numbers to beat out all the other quarterbacks that the Bears have had, literally as of right now he isn't even as good as Kyle Orton because he hasn't played a single down yet. Let this kid play first and be himself and then you can focus on his numbers. He has the potential to be the best quarterback in Bears history but until he puts those numbers together, year after year after year, he only has the potential. Bears fans all hope that he meets and exceeds the expectations of his potential.
I believe that CW has the talent and team talent to succeed. The Question in my mind is how well will CW withstand getting hit on blitzes and double teams and running left and opening up his body to throw back across the grain right. CW is not a big guy at 215lbs and is he going to be able to take NFL pounding for 17 games + ? Will he get rid of the ball fast enough and not let his competitive nature keep the ball to long, trying to make a play that isn't there.? I defenently think he has the ability, but does he have NFL stamina.?
