Chicago police are continuing to investigate at least two break-ins inside a West Loop high-rise, with at least one resident already having moved out following the incident. NBC 5’s Lexi Sutter reports.

These are the people Johnson swore he would raise taxes on to pay for his social programs. The name of his 12 billion dollar tax increase proposal is called "First we get the money for a just Chicago." I kid you not.

@ron, Don't forget they passed a law that police are not allowed to chase a criminal on foot unless they personally witnessed a felony, Otherwise they can be punished!
Glad to see voting for Democrats over & over again is working out so well for the people in Chicago. No bail, no jail, criminals released the same or, next day, not allowing police to pursue suspects after committing crimes, politicians always making excuses for criminals. Good times!
Chicagoans why didn't you all vote for Paul Vallas for Mayor who had the backing of Chicago Police Department? You all voted for Brandon Johnson who was not supported by CPD & wanted to Defund The Police. Plus you all just passed the Safe-T Act Bill that allows No Cash Bail for certain criminality from Criminals.
Question is who endorsed Johnson. One of those was Bernie Sanders. Perhaps he could move to Chicago and walk on Chicago streets now when there is his favorite mayor here?
I lived two blocks from there on Washington and Green. We had problems in our building as well. We had to install a second security door to keep people out of the foyer.

Brandon Johnson only got 300,000 votes in a city of nearly 3 Million, but people never want to discuss that when it’s easier to say “this is what they voted for”.
Chicago should have a law that makes it illegal to break in to peoples homes, maybe hire crime counselors and just add it to the taxpayers. Its a Democrat win win situation. Democrats commit the crimes, then Democrats are hired to observe the crimes. Either way they are getting paid.
I also pray that most of the tenants move out leaving the building owners without any tenants since they cannot maintain they damn Security in the building

That's an inside job. They need to look into the doorman and the maintenance working together, I say this because the doorman know all your coming and going routine, and they will tell maintenance that you left for the day... thats how they know what apartment to break in..(Allegedly)... I have had conversation with people who live in hi rise building over in the river north area they having the same problem, and what they have said that its and inside job...
They where most likely checking the place to see if that's where they wanna' move into! They just get in touch with there bud the mayor and say we wanna' live hear and I wager he'd take care of it!!
Same thing happened in my building so, I set up a shotgun to the front door in case the burglar came back. One night, he did come back and broke into my condo. I had to clean up everything, what a mess!
I believe it's between the security and the janitors. Yep on the southside of Chicago years ago it was the landlord and the janitor's that was breaking into the tenant's apartment now they got the wicked asses downtown Chicago. Let's just say they graduated higher crime because Southsiders don't have s*** to take anymore
The CPD needs to be held accountable for every crime because they are totally ineffective. I want a refund of my taxes. Plus, I never agreed to support people outside US citizenship. I should not have to pay for Ukraine and Venazuela (corrupt countries) issues.
The police aren't catching anyone is anyone confused like me, we can all use crime seen tape and talk about past intstanses that doesn't prevent or solve crime 🤔
