I don't believe that the police are all saints.i dont believe the should be treated like each of them have won a medal of honor, but when going into these neighborhoods, After watching videos like this it's easy to see why they have their guard up. It's not fair that regular black people are treated as collateral damage and assumed soon to be like the minority of gangsters We see in these videos, but on the other hand why would you want to take your chances. I know everybody comes from a different place, different home, different upbringing, with different circumstances... But overall, the way theses guys in the "hood" and gangs behave around each other, reminds me of just the general high-school mindset where you feel like impressing the people around you is a personal priority, regardless of who they are. Your image, the clothes you wear, the slang used, the nicknames/street names you use... Most of these guys appear to be around my age, and honestly, I barely even talk to my friends once a week at best anymore, that's part of becoming a grown man, you're not in high-school anymore giving each other nicknames and coming up with secret handshakes... These folks seem to spend nearly every waking minute together as grown adults. I can honestly say, I wouldn't even be half way to having the roof over my head and the truck in my garage if I was still spending that kind of time with my friends and concerning myself with what they think of me or how tough I am... Something tells me if these dudes woke up tomorrow with no friends to impress or entertain, they'd have a much more successful future ahead of them.

Nobody forces anyone to live anywhere. Personal responsibility and cause and effect need to be taught. Preferably by an absent father. Anyone can make it in this country if they do 2 simple things: 1. Stay out of trouble 2. Get educated. It isn't rocket science, but these people want the quick easy buck whether it's selling drugs, stealing, rapping or living off a government check.

Southeast DC, checking in Chicago is doing good this year with the murder rate compared to last year unfortunately I can't say the same thing about DC where the murder rate is up over 30%
I grew up in this type of environment but through the grace of God I made it out but not without some scars. These areas are totally unsafe I have anxiety with large crowds and people till this day. Hard to make friends once you are exposed to these treacherous types of environments. PTSD is real. About to enroll in mma classes to get some normal human comrades. Most of these guys wont make it far unfortunately!

I watch your videos amazed by a bunch of things... how you are accepted, how they open up to you, how you remain safe, how little I understand their vocabulary... but the thing that amazes me the most is how dead end it all seems... where can they go to get out and how would they even try bc by the time they realize they don't want to live like that, the window for their education or health is closed... on a very profoundly existential level these videos touch me. I am a disciple of Jesus... *_I know Jesus saves_* and all anyone has to do is call on Him. May these men come to the light of Christ and be healed, and their neighborhoods too.
As a former 20 yr heroin addict in Chicagoland area I spent many hours weeks days and years on the west side. It's crazy...another world man. But.... I found a way out for 16 yrs now and I'm GRATEFUL now... for all my hours weeks days and years free from that life.
I for one, feel personal accountability and honest self-reflection is by far more beneficial than any religious ideology. After all, your religion is mostly determined by the geological location your family resides at the time of your birth. You adopt your religion. This is why in the Middle East people will continue to kill each other and each other's children, over ancient books and relics. Religion is not the answer to todays problems. If there is a god with a plan, then free-will is something not worth having. Now when you see the way life is in some places, any honest person should be able to recognize that it's the circumstances, the places they were born, the family they grew up in, the people around them... This is the same thing that determines your religion. What goes on around you determining your life is the trap, but taking control of your life without the notion of appealing to others or a god, will lead you to a more solid foundation from which to build your life and future
@@roberthance1187 (As an agnostic) I would say that all the major religions function in more or less the same way, as a kind of "social glue" - they give everyone in the society a common element to move to, like the beat of music in a nightclub, and that contributes to the possibility of civilization, mainly by making trust between strangers possible, justifying the group's existence and continuity through time, and giving the individual a sense of place and belonging in the universe. It's true that religions are often at loggerheads, but depending on how you look at it, the inward-facing benefit probably outweighs the outward-facing downside (in the long view, casualties from wars aren't _that_ great a percentage of any population). Morally, they're all much of a muchness: they all have pretty much the same moral teachings, etc., so the fact that you follow the one you're born into doesn't really matter. And speaking philosophically and mystically, it's a "blind men and the elephant" type of situation, with each religion noticing some aspect of a logically necessary transcendent aspect to reality (IOW, materialism isn't logically satisfactory, doesn't give a complete picture - especially scientifically, since the scientific project is the pursuit of an explanation of reality, and without a transcendent "engine" to reality that's logically necessary, science is forced to give up at a certain point and say "it just happened," which contradicts its own project of figuring out how things must have happened).

I was a devout Romans Catholic *_until_* I picked up the Bible and started reading for myself and I was *_SHOCKED_* how it revealed the wickedness of ALL these religions of men!! Here is what everyone needs to know: there is only ONE CREATOR GOD on record in all of recorded history, speaking to mankind in the first person... The Scriptures are a set of revelations of that ONE GOD speaking to some 40+ men over the course of 3000y If anyone looks around and notices that life itself is a little more meticulously governed by code (DNA, chemistry, mathematics, seasons, universal human traits etc) than for this to all be random big bang, and a man realizes (by reasoning) where there is code, there must be a CODER... and that man wants to LEARN of His CODER/ CREATOR, he can search all religions on earth and find mankind only has ONE such a power revealing Himself to His Creation, claiming the Authority as the AUTHOR of life. There is no other CREATOR God on earth speaking to man in the first person in any other religion... and interestingly enough, that CREATOR God says *_there will be no other who will be glorified_* for creation ! (that's a pretty impressive prophecy for some "shepherds" to whip out 3000y ago! See Deut 4:32-36, Isaiah 48:11, 42:8) and in fact no religion, not even science pretends to glorify an other source of life... it is the Big bang (nothing) or the Scriptures of God (aka the Bible) upon which rest all the religions that have a Creator (Islam, "Christianity", Judaism)... no creator for the Greek. Romans, Indians, Incas, Hindus, Buddhists, Norse (well except the Norse accept the God of the Hebrews) etc.....only ONE Creator on record.. now. life ends we know inherently there is a judgment, and according to that Creator, you will be judged according to that word bc He has choreographed all of history around the birth of His Son Jesus who came to deliver you from your sin and He has given you a conscience to want to be free from that hopelessness in eternity and a promise of reconciliation by faith... His Word is the most widely studied, documented, and available book on earth with a manuscript attestation of 500:1 to the next best attested ancient manuscripts (Homer).. there are over 21,000 pieces of manuscript evidence for that Scripture and if you *_want to know God and glorify Him_* He is not far from you. I hope you do not neglect so great a salvation as the gift of being reconciled to God by faith in Jesus. If everyone studied that Bible, "Christians", "Jews", Catholics, and Muslims, none of them would be able to get away with justifying their monstrosities per that Bible, but as long as the world is going to let raging hypocrites and liars make claims of godliness in their ungodly acts, and the world sits quietly by permitting these frauds to be perpetrated in the name of God who said "thou shall love thy enemy!" then those secular ignorants are just as guilty as those who pervert the word of God because they colluded with liars in perpetuating wickedness in their absence of their intellectual integrity to call them out! I was shocked when I did it, I could hardly take in the degree to which we are lied to about it and I am sincerely pleading w you and anyone who reads this to read the Bible for yourself, learn about the Jesus of the Bible and be free: "If you continue in my *_WORD_* then you. are my disciple indeed and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" ~JESUS (John 8:31-32)

I just don't get it. I'm not from the US so I don't understand this whole gangster culture. But wtf are those people talking all the time about? They can't even form a real sentence. Are those people standing around throwing those gang signs all evening long and just shouting totally senseless sentences like "Dis my boy, dey not ready for him, tellin' you I ain't playin'" while blasting music? Is this really how those people are, is there nothing more, not even a bit of a deeper conversation? A group of chimps has more useful communication going on between them, seriously. It's really hard to understand for me if those people even have a very simple understanding of the world around us.
They also dont take education seriously and drop out of school very early maybe 4th grade their environment is so toxic they hold each other back and refuse to pursue better life or career
