The Stratford Playhouse at Stratford High School in Houston, Texas performed CHICAGO in the Fall of 2014. Here they perform "Roxie" with Caitlin Ehlinger in the featured role. Congratulations to Caitlin for being cast as "Peggy", a lead role, in the upcoming national touring company version of 42nd Street (all before she even graduates). As you can see here, it's been obvious to all of us that she was destined to be a star. For more of Caitlin, check out "America" from their performance of West Side Story last year.

This was actually really good for a high school. Roxie’s vocals were a lil off, but her acting was phenomenal and she took a completely different angle that I really enjoyed.

You could tell she was a little nervous from her singing but this was so much better than some versions I've seen by professional actors.

She reminds me a lot of Betty Boop with the costume and hair and the way she holds herself during this performance it's so cool

My problem is not with her, but more with the composition of the song. This girl is clearly very talented and also a mezzo-soprano/soprano, but the song is decently low for a majority of it. I wish they could transpose it up, but I understand with licensing and all that, it’s difficult.

I've seen a lot of negative comments about this show but regardless of the choices it's a whole lot more entertaining then all the stunt cast versions on Broadway right now

As someone who has played roxie, and is a chicago snob, she was outstanding...and not even by high school standards, but by professional standards...her boys were pretty damn decent as well 🤗
