Chicago Snow - Sub-zero temperatures and massive snowfall | 4K drone video

Chicago arctic blast 2021. On February 5th temperatures dropped to single digits at night and for almost consecutive 11 nights we experienced frigid cold winter ( from -3F to 9F temperatures). Daytime temperatures dropped twice to a maximum 7F (Sunday 7th) and 5F (Sunday 14th). Despite the bitter cold massive snowfall covered the city and frozen lake Michigan. Over 20 inches of snow in the month of February. Far above the normal for February of 9.1 inches. Here is a little aftermath of the occurrence.

Your videos are always top-notch. My only complaint is all the great drone photographers never capture Fulton Market or Hyde Park. These are two of Chicago's most urban neighborhoods and Hyde Park has arguably the most diverse architecture in the city. While the rest of the city is building glass-boxes Hyde Park is building sculptural and expressive structures mixed with historic ornate masterpieces. Fulton Market is one of the largest/fastest growing neighborhoods in the country outside of NY with awesome density and lot-line-to-lot-line built-form. These areas are tier-1 urban landscapes that would illustrate a much more expansive view of the city and a provide unique perspectives to outsiders by being included in these videos of the downtown and north lakefront. Great work as always.

Thanks for your comment. I think I was filming some Hyde Park area around MSI and The University of Chicago area (Chicago Now) as well as Fulton Market (Insolated - Chicago lockdown) but you are right. There is never enough shots from those areas. Will keep that in mind.

Yep.. that's that upper North East weather for ya. But Washington, DC, little snow, some sleet. I can deal with that. Ya'll can keep all that white stuff. :))

There is barely ice on Lake Michigan today. Melt started on Monday and the city looks different now but I love snow covered city and frozen lake.
