Thanks for the content! And hey if you go back to Seattle you need to go to other hoods like downtown Seattle 3rd avenue/pike place market (native park) and Aurora avenue north
Actually the 1976 Blaxplotation movie The Monkey Hustle was shot in Woodlawn and Bronzeville so you're not far off about this piece of film of Chicago this look like this was shot about 1974 maybe 1975
Seeing this vid takes me back to childhood vacations visiting my aunt and cousins... Summertime Chi in the 80s on the 3800 blk of South Ellis in Madden Park/Ida B Wells.... I'll never forget visiting from Toledo, OH and going to the corner store to purchase a pack of cigarettes for my aunt and I was only 7. RIP Aunt Cookie... Them Operation Breadbasket days.... I miss them...
If you car guys notice…Most of those cars were less that ten years old by the early ‘80’s yet they were already trashed out. Rust , theft and potholes ruin Chicago cars.
@@ClipsCrazy__ Why? do you think some of the kids sadly grew up to become gang members, and so on? I guess some of the kids probably grew up to witness the drill scene in chicago.
King Nate they prolly did witness drill scenes but this is early 70s and 80s Chicago it was all about money no gang violence like that yet and most likely the kids prob in there 30s to mid 40s
@@SoSikWitIt Are you kidding? There was plenty of gang violence and drug wars in the late 70s and early 80s. There's crip graffiti all over the place. But it was definitely not as bad as things have become.
Facts tho Mfs betta be happy they got the little tht they do have cause it’s Mfs out here who momma n daddy on drugs or just outta work and broke so kids have to go feed themselves
My pops lived in Southside Chicago worked at a movie theater where they showed mexican movies and america movies too in the 70s and 80s all the stories he would tell me Rest In Peace Dad
The no audio makes me feel like the theme song for this clip should be Bobby Womack-Across 100th street. That’s all I keep singing while watching this 😂😂
Dis kinda look like sum “broken glass everywhere people pissin on da stairs u know they jus don’t care I can’t take da smell can’t take the noise” ass shit 😂
I was tryna look for street signs to see if the footage was from out south or out west. The “black p stone” graffiti makes me assume it was somewhere on the south side or at least that specific shot was from out south just cuz stones are a predominantly south side gang. Either way really dope footage of my home town.
