I would think not it's never like the news make it out to be even the Southside that gets all the hate not that bad it's 9 mil people his chances slim of anything happening to him
The labels for the streets and significant sights is such a smart upgrade to the experience as we follow you on the journey through the wonderous city of Chicago, It adds a sense of interactivity that is informative and much appreciated _ Thank you
Oh boy. Be careful especially if you ride the EL. We've always had crime, but ever since the pandemic crime is out of control. Everyone knows someone who has been a victim of a crime, or has been a victim of a crime. When I returned to Chicago in 1977, I would not ride the Red Line after 6 p.m. It got safer very, very slowly over the years. Just before the pandemic, the train would be full at 8 to 9 pm with all kinds of people. Now even during the daytime, I've had so many scary encounters. Many of those incidents have been with mentally ill people. I never ride the EL before 8 am or after 5:30 pm. It's a different city. In addition, our taxes are sky high. A friend is moving back to Chicago after having spent 18 years in Nevada. She was stunned at what we pay for property taxes. I hate to be a negative Nelly, but I'd say speak with more people. Even my older family members who have been here since the '50s can't believe how unsafe the city has become.
@@movalle22 Thank you for the honest answer. I ended up NOT moving to Chicago after all, but to Appleton, Wisconsin. I just returned from a quick visit to Chicago, and agree with you that it does not feel as nice as it did many years ago. ☹
@@BrianHutzellMusic It pains me to describe my city like this, but it's the truth. You made a wise choice. I'm not sure if Appleton has changed. Years ago it was a beautiful town.
