In 2001 we bought ourselves a lovely Westerly Konsort named 'Ardea'. This is our passage from Chichester to the Essex coast made during the first week of June. We were blessed with wonderful warm weather and calm seas but a distinct lacking of wind after our first days passage.

I grew up in Shoreham and this looks like one of those fantastic summer days I remember. Btw I used to visit Shoreham airport and saw a lot od WW2 aircraft there.

what made you choose a konsort?

I've just turned 70 and needed a safe comfortable boat that I could handle on my own as my wife has a disability. Shallow draft for East Coast and a bilge Keeler. It was either a Moody or a Westerly on the short list and the Konsort came through. David.

That’s interesting to hear. I’m looking for similar characteristics so grateful for your appraisal. Wish you all the best and fair winds.
