For an artist who recorded some of the best acoustic piano trio albums in jazz history, it is amazing how much Chick made this one stand out. Three masters near the top of their game.

these 3 together were an absolute power house in Jazz. Although I don't wanna admit that the best recording was with Vinnie in Tokyo Blue Note..... 🫢 so, stone me to death. I don't care.

I’ve understood, that the reason why Electric band made this acoustic album was the deal with GRP. The company demanded an album per year, and this came between Inside out and Beneath the mask. Anyway, this is a Super album!
