It’s weird hearing Sal and Joe talking about their accents sometimes going in and out but to my ears, their accents are always very prominent, especially Sal’s.

I think Joe is off base with this "cod is flavorless" arc. I love cod. But where I grew up in Minnesota, we'd have walleye every Friday which is very flavorful. And when we'd vacation in northern Wisconsin we'd sometimes have sturgeon or perch. Very meaty and sweet respectively.

I'm from Atlantic Canada and the fish n chips here are usually made with haddock. I once saw a big old cod with worms *IN* it (a live, swimming around with worms sticking out of its skin cod). Never knowingly ate cod since. I'm sure haddock could be the same but I don't know for certain and never will (not reading any replies now for that reason sorry lol). It seems like most people around here really like when they use the haddock though. Thanks for the show guys!

56:20 We make fish n chips at home about once every couple of months. We buy the fish, bread it in a nice homemade beer batter, and deep fry that and the fries (usually crispy straight cut fries). Not very difficult at all and sounds quite a bit easier than rolling up ham in a chicken breast 😅

I work at a cod restaurant, and the sesioning on the fish is just lawrys and msg. If you cut the fish, you have to sign a paper stating you will not tell anyone about it
