Chicken George is a rooster fighter, a slave, and a descendant of the old African, Kunta Kinte. He earns a pretty living for a slave as a chicken fighter. And as a result, he leads a life of leisure and lavishness. He meets an old friend who he found out bought his own freedom. That served as a wake-up call for Chicken George that there is something greater than his life of comfort. And that something was the concept of freedom.
I do not own any rights to the video or audio. This is purely for artistic critique.

Kunta Kinte -> Kizzy -> Chicken George -> Tom -> Cynthia -> Bertha -> Alex Haley. Alex grew up hearing stories of Kunta Kinte from his grandmother, Cynthia. Chicken George is Cynthia's grandfather, and Kunta Kinte is Chicken George's grandfather.

Kunta too. I’m 53. I saw roots when I was 8 with my pops. Afterwards all the kids in the neighborhood would reinact the scene where Kunta is whipped trying to force him to take “Toby” and Kunta resisted like a dozen lashes.

A little unrealistic in the looks, but I do love Ben Vereen as Chicken George. I have seen a picture of the real Chicken George. He looked like he had a White father and a Black mother. Ben Vereen does not.

Not to compare, but every Friday like Clockwork Christopher Dollananger would come home from a Businesstrip and bring home Presents for his Four Children. He did it to make up for the guilt in terms of being away from home so much. Very bad in terms of Money Management.

If I own a car and I do because I'm fancy 😛 But I digress if I own a car and I keep money in the car and I do because I'm fancy 😛 But for real though, Isn't there a risk of the owner, just being like well I own you so there for I already own this money, ta very much get back to work. 🤔 It would be a bloody cruel thing to do and I wouldn't condone it as I'm frankly fancy 😛 But when one is already in the business of owning others I think their morals are worthy of question.
