Today's random events wrapped into one video that includes our famous chicken setting the world record with the highest flight by a hen over the mountains of West Virginia... all just to share the beautiful fall foliage with you before it's gone!

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid". This channel is dedicated to short vlogs showing our life outside the build.

That's what my dad said "little girls are the best gift a Dad can ever have"...for sure he had SIX little girls...and he was the best dad ever. He told me one time that he so looked forward to walking each one of us down the aisle to our future husbands when we married. Well one sister broke his heart when she eloped. So dad said to me: "I will fix her...I will have the biggest wedding reception ever"...and he did LOLOL Thank you for sharing your comment it brought back some good memories of my dad for sure. I can't say what part of this video that my wife and I enjoyed the most but my best guess would be the smiles, laughter along with the awesome video editing and autumn drone footage viewed on a big screen. The boys might not be in the videos often, but when they are, they are wonderful. Letting their little sister win races, helping her do things. Amazing boys and your family is lucky to have them! Too many children these days are rude and downright mean.

Only because they learn by example from adults who are downright mean to them. It's really sad in my opinion. Some kids find ways to get rid of those habits. Either by having family that supports them, even if other parts of the family are mean and nasty. The kids that are acting that way, are just victims of bullying/abuse.

Ya’ll are too young to remember a Christmas movie named “The Homecoming” and subsequent hit CBS series “The Waltons” inspired by Earl Hammer’s boyhood experiences in the Virginia Blue Ridge during the depression. How you interact with your children is eternally significant. In my opinion, the beginning of self-worth starts with how a child feels loved. When they are secure in that love, it doesn't matter what else the world throws at them. They know they have value. Your video made me laugh out loud, and your closer about the memories in the walls made me cry. My one perhaps insignificant view is my drop in your view bucket. I grew up on a hereford stud in Australia our bull came from the US he sailed over when he was 4mths we called him peanuts, I rode him with a saddle until he grew to be massive. He would lay down and I would curl up under his chest and slept with him when I was tried out in the padlocks. My Mum was known for being the only one that didn't know he was the most gentle giant he did like to put on a show for her. When we would show him everyone was amazed at his sweet nature such an amazing animal he lived to be nearly 30

We don't want to force the boys to do stuff just for RU-vid content. If they are "there" when we are vlogging something then you see it but otherwise you don't. They are in the videos here and there when "it happens"- like I was able to get shots of them on the 4 wheelers, metal detecting etc.
