This week has been full of unexpected mishaps but we also had some welcomed surprises! In fact, we had 4 surprises- two sets of twin babies were born here on our farm!

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid". This channel is dedicated to short vlogs showing our life outside the build.

I really love watching you and your family with your projects. I live in Southeastern Idaho. My husband passed away last June. We were married for 51 and a half years. It has been hard. 35 years ago we built a large 3000 sq. Foot log house with our children. We did it all ourselves. It was amazing. We were only in it for 8 years but we loved it. Our 9 children are grown and off with their lives. Now with 53 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren with 2 on the way in about 2 weeks. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. You guys are great.

Erin is really the one who keeps it all together in this family. Josh, the best thing you ever did in your life was take her for your mate. She has the patience of a saint, one smile from her and you know, the kids know and the animals know you are all in good hands. Thanks for sharing, you guys!! Michael, Michael, quit kissing up! I have every bit as much of a crush on that beautiful wonder woman as you do but don't you for one minute discount what Josh does for that family. If you continue to gravel over that most amazing editor with the most beautiful of smiles then I will have to revoke your man card. Face it, Josh is no dummy. He knew exactly what he was doing when he put the channel locks to her. It sure wasn't his spiked mohawk!! lol

What makes this family so special is Mama and Dad (Erin & Josh) are not dependent on each other...No! They compliment each other which makes this family energetic, full of love and before all show respect for each other. Gotta love how the entendres are subtle enough (master-baster) that the kids can watch but we can chuckle. And how great that these two can tease each other unmercifully and it always elicits a laugh. As for the sheep names, how about with one pair, you name the boy West and the girl Virginia.

Next time use the excavator arm to lower the track onto a short 4x4 to break away the ice. Stand it one end and move the 4x4 along the track until all the ice on the top is broken. The ice cannot handle the point load and will shatter. As far as the 4 wheeler, take off the wheel and it comes off faster. Oh and channel locks can cut wire. Good luck, Josh.

So presh! Can you imagine poor mama ewe having to walk to the barn with baby 2 on the way? I remember labor and can't think I would want to walk ten feet while it was happening, never mind 100 or more. The babies are so presh and the pups are still so wittle and cute! Have fun naming them!
